That is possible, CW seems to be down and PC is firing on all cylinders right now...but, I wouldn't count on it. CW always puts up a fight, especially when playing long-time rivals like WC & PC. Also, PC has beat them 2 years in a row, they will be out for revenge.

yeah true but im just goin by the numbers...but i also know CW wont quit even if thats the final tally...im just glad its in Linden

This post will prob sound kinda nutty but I was actually pretty impressed with Collinwood. They got plenty of

size and quite a bit talent. The difference was Tucker, had he played for Collinwood they would have won 40 to 6. He is just that good, to experienced, talented and smart to find much competition at this level. Happily he has only a sliver of elgibility left!!!

Anyhow, Collinwood, if they keep working and fighting hard will def win their share and Im talking sooner rather than later. Offensively they haven't found an identity yet but it will come. Hensley and Caperton are

by far their most talented and elusive backs. If they will put the ball in the hands of those two guys 90 percent of the time they will start moving the chains and scoring points. Having Hensley at WR is a waste cause they have nobody who can throw the ball. Montgomery is gonna be a great player but not at qb, he doesn't even look where he throws it and doesn't bother setting his feet either. They never let Daniel throw it so I don't know what he can do.

Anyhow, despite the beatdown I feel pretty good about the trojans despite the fact are pretty young, I can see it happening pretty soon! And I glad they not face anyone ever near Tuckers level again...probably ever

It's my understanding that most of CW's players are freshmen & sophomores. If that is true, then they should have a great team in the next couple of years. :thumb:

i dont know why you say yall would've won if you had someone like Tucker...PC's defense dominated the front line and yes Montgomery had about 3 rushes that rusulted in good yardage but PC's D stopped yall the rest of the way...they should'nt have let that kid score at the end but we had our 3rd team in at the time so its ok but our 1st team hasnt given up more than 13 points in 5 games and that was against Forrest(they scored 7...and Lewis Co. they scored 6)...so Tuckers Offense wasn't the only thing that was great tonite

The skinny: "Collinwood tries to rebound from last week's shutout loss at Eagleville to reach the .500 mark. ...Perry County is clicking on all cylinders. The unbeaten Vikings are averagin 32 points per game and have only given up four touchdowns in four games."Good luck to both teams!

True, but not entirely accurate. First string D has only given up 2 touchdowns in 5 games, one to LC & one to Forrest. The TD's scored by Cornersville, Riverside & CW were all scored on our JV squad. Defense has really stepped it up this year. :thumb:

Now that was a pretty good post. You're getting better. :thumb: I might also add that our back-up QB is getting better & better every game. He looked really good tonight.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
