How about Harpeth and Montgomery Central?

Nothing different about the offense except the qb isn't injured. Same sets Harpeth's been using for the last few years. The defense is playing well and Harpeth has some depth with 18 seniors and they don't have as many guys going both ways. That helps.

I'm proud that the guys are getting some well deserved success, but..........so far they haven't played anybody with a winning record and that's not changing this Friday. We'll see in these next 5 games when the schedule gets a little tougher with Montgomery Central and Sycamore at home and then Camden, Waverly and Cheatham on the road.

Both teams have excellent players at the quarterback position (Harpeth: McWright & Montgomery Central: Hudson). Both teams have playmakers on the outside (Harpeth: Odum + Dillon & Montgomery Central: Hutchenson + Patterson). Both teams have great running backs (Harpeth: Baker & Montgomery Central: Redden).

I look for this to be a competitive game with the winner hitting paydirt at least 4 times. Harpeth is unbeaten, ranked in the top ten, and feeling really well about themselves (as they should). Montgomery Central is 3-3 and in line to qualify for a second straight trip to the Class 4A state playoffs.
