4A Playoffs After Week 8

I did this for 3A, so I figured you 4A guys would like to see what the playoffs would be like if they started today. The 4A race for the final 32 will be really interesting. This week there are 11 teams at 4-4 and only 9 spots. This week the last two teams out are Hillcrest and East Ridge. The only team below 4-4 to get in is Frayser at (3-5) because they are # 2 in their district.

 

Remember district winners are seeded 1st, runner ups 2nd, then WC.

quad 1 - Greeneville..a cakewalk for the Devils in a weak quad

 

quad 2 - L.A. / Red Bank winner

 

quad 3 - Maplewood in toughest quad

 

quad 4 - Covington / Fairley winner

You go to tiebreakers. In Giles situation. Fairview would be the district champs having the best overall record. Then you have Giles and Marshall left. Marshall has the tiebreaker over Giles. So Giles is a WC. Only way for Giles to win the district is to have Marshall Co. lose to either Page or East Hickman.

Games to watch this week EAST HAMILTON plays RED BANK, EAST RIDGE plays CHATTANOOGA CENTRAL. East Ridge holds the tie breaker over East Hamilton. If EH loses and ER wins out ER will be 2nd in their district. If EH beats RB they will be 1st RB 2nd. This is a big week in this district.

Livingston is 3rd in their district, but there 7-1 record makes them the best WC in the quad and gives them a 1st round game, Giles Co. is the 2nd highest WC. Matching them up in the 1st round.

 

Quad 2 is wide open for a hot team to make a semi-final run.

Why is Obion County a 6 with 7-1 record and bolivar a 3 with a 6-2?????

Bolivar is 2nd in their district giving them priority over Obion County who is a Wild Card Team.
