I know nothing about Mr. Wilkins, but given the company he is in, congrats are in order. Beathard and Elder are both great talents and are both extremely valuable to their respective offenses. I would expect Beathard to get some "bonus points" since he is a Senior. One observation: the award does not specify that it should be awarded to the top offensive back. In my opinion, Elder is as valuable to his team in the defensive backfield (he is surely one of the top safeties in the division) as in the offensive backfield. Does anyone know whether outstanding performance on the defensive side of the ball ever wins this award?
