FCS of Lebanon is still considered on the East side in football playoffs and championhips. The football state championship games are divided East vs West. There is no middle. It's just the way TSSAA divides them.

The Tennessee State Government separates the state in 3. Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) details the grand divisions of the state of Tennessee. TCA 4-1-201 states that there are three (3) grand divisions of the state: the eastern, middle and western.

See link: http://www.tngenweb.org/maps/tngrand3.htm

If we are talking TSSAA, we would discuss 4 Quads with 3 & 4 being West and 1 & 2 being East, however, TSSAA has never put a definative line through the state.

So here's the way it goes:

Class 1A - Wayne Co./Waynesboro (Middle)

Class 2A - FCS/Lebanon (Middle)

Class 3A - CAK/Knoxville (East)

Class 4A - Greeneville (East)

Class 5A - Henry Co./Paris (West)

Class 6A - Maryville (East)

DII A - St. Georges/Memphis (West)

DII AA - Ensworth (Middle)

3 East, 3 Middle, 2 West = Pretty even.
