Been to this tournament many years in the past. Not very organized. Poorly run compared to most other events I've been too. Heard a lot of horror stories about last year's event from several folks who attended.

I bet you've seen bigfoot or know someone who has. Do you have a tournament you are promoting or just not have any class to post like this. Either come support the kids or stay home.

LittleRock attacks anything I am any part of. This poster even attacked our fall exposure league saying that the talent in a Knoxville league was way stronger than the talent that attends our league. Also stated that we had very few college coaches attend the event. Even attacked a Boys Rocky Top team that I was asked to coach by Andre Whitehead.

Bottom line is our tournament games are always on time, refereed by TSSAA licensed referees, and are played on the beautiful campus of Carson Newman.

Since this forum is open for people to express their opinions, that's simply what I'm doing.

Every time I've attended the Panther tournament, there has been some kind of organizational issue, regardless of the site. I am not the only person who has noticed this. This is a pretty common theme running through the travel team community. I'm sure some others would disagree. Most of the people I have talked to would not.

I saw your fall league last year. You had more teams. The other league had fewer teams, but in my opinion had better talent.

I rarely go to boys fall league games. I do remember going a time or two a few years ago to see a family friend play and remember commenting that your team didn't look very good the day I saw them play. Don't see how that's a personal attack.

Might come catch a few games. Might not.

Here's a sampling of SOME of the girl's that played in our fall league this past season: Ashlee Mitchell (POY Big 8), Brooke Rhodes (JCP POY, Region All Tourney, District POY), Maelyn Cutshaw (All District), Jenny Snyder (All Big 8), Shy Copney (All Big 8), Tiana Tarter, Madison Davis (Webb), Jade Hale (Mo East), Allison Ball (All-District), Karly Frye (District POY, County POY), Mendy McNeese (All State tournament as freshman), Kiera Smith, Mindy Brackns (all District), Mikayla Trombley (all district), Cassidy Martin (all state as soph), Lauren McCurry (all district), Morgan Depew (all district), Morgan Whittemore (all district, school record 80 3s), Tailor Morgan (all district), Allison Hodge (District tournament MVP), Laura Johnson (all district), Karsen Sims (All District), Makayla Graham (All District)............... Theres plenty more but that's a decent start. Oh I forgot Oak Hill Academy played in it too. That is fact not opinion.

As for the tournament I hope you come and bring a bunch of people. We'd love to sell you a ticket. Stop by and introduce yourself. Dang, I forgot! That would not allow you to make anonymous posts about our program.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
