Soddy 5 Rhea 4; Rhea jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 2nd after getting back to back singles by Shelby Kincannon and Morgan Hidalgo with the bases loaded. Soddy Daisy got a run back in the bottom of the 2nd with a two out double followed by a single.

After scoring two in the third, and one in the forth Soddy carried a 4-2 lead into the 6th.

The Lady Eagles hit three singles to load the bases with one out when Kelsey Nunley came out of the bullpen to get a strikeout for the second out. Then Rhea scored two runs on an infield error and a hit batter tying the game at four.

With one out and runners at 1st & 2nd Rhea looked like they would get out of the bottom of the 6th when Pitcher Hanna Manley caught a hard line drive then caught the running off base. But the throw was missed and a run came all the way home from second. Nunley got Rhea County out in order in the 7th.

We missed a good chance tonight, but had too many errors (5) against a good team. Hope the girls can learn from this and get better. Off to Maryville this weekend. Hope the rain stays away.

    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
