A Saturday weigh-in has been added for this weekend's TWF State Freestyle/Greco-Roman Championships at McCallie. See below for all current tournament information.

DATES: SATURDAY, MAY 12, 2012

 

LOCATION: MCCALLIE HIGH SCHOOL

500 DOBBS AVE.

CHATTANOOGA, TN 37404

 

WEIGH-INS: SATELLITE WEIGH-INS WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, MAY 11 AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS AND TIMES:

 

MCCALLIE HIGH SCHOOL: 4-7 PM (EASTERN TIME)

DAVID LIPSCOMB HIGH SCHOOL: 5-7 (CENTRAL TIME)

KING COLLEGE: 5-7 (EASTERN TIME)

HALLS HIGH SCHOOL, KNOXVILLE: 6-8 PM (EASTERN TIME)

CHRISTIAN BROTHERS HIGH SCHOOL: 4-6 PM (CENTRAL TIME)

 

*THERE WILL ALSO BE THE FOLLOWING SATURDAY, MAY 12 WEIGH-IN:

MCCALLIE HIGH SCHOOL: 7-8 AM (EASTERN TIME)

 

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

WRESTLING STARTS: 10:00 A.M. EASTERN TIME

*FREESTYLE COMPETITION FIRST, GRECO-ROMAN WILL FOLLOW

REGISTRATION: ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE DONE THROUGH TRACKWRESTLING BY 11:00 P.M. CENTRAL TIME ON THURSDAY, MAY 10, 2012. NO EXCEPTIONS!! YOU MUST GO TO http://unapproved websiteregistration/BasicPreReg1.jsp?tournamentGroupId=47890009 TO PAY AND REGISTER. MAKE SURE TO REGISTER FOR BOTH TOURNAMENTS IF YOU ARE WRESTLING BOTH STYLES. YOU WILL NOT BE REGISTERED FOR THE TOURNAMENT UNTIL YOU COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION PROCESS AND PAY. ABSOLUTELY NO WALK-INS AND NO PAYING AT THE DOOR!

 

ENTRY FEE: $25 WHETHER YOU WRESTLE ONE STYLE OR BOTH

 

AWARDS: MEDALS FOR THE TOP 3 PLACES

 

INSURANCE: EACH PARTICIPANT MUST HAVE A VALID USA WRESTLING CARD.

 

UNIFORM: RED AND BLUE SINGLET IS REQUIRED. USE OF HEADGEAR IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

 

DIVISIONS AND WEIGHT CLASSES:

BANTAM (2004-2005), INTERMEDIATE (2002-2003), NOVICE (2000-2001), SCHOOLBOY (1998-1999), CADET (1996-1997), JUNIOR (9/1/1992 & AFTER, PLUS ENROLLED IN GRADES 9-12). GO TO http://www.themat.com/forms/Weights.pdf FOR ALL WEIGHT CLASS INFORMATION. *WEIGHT CLASSES AND DIVISIONS MAY BE COMBINED TO ENSURE EACH WRESTLER THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF MATCHES.

 

CONCESSIONS: A FULLY STOCKED CONCESSION STAND WILL BE OPEN DURING THE TOURNAMENT. NO COOLERS ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY!

 

ADMISSION: $3 FOR CHILDREN, $5 FOR ADULTS

      You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.

      I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.

      Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
