I heard a lot of irate parents who were not allowed on the floor voicing their disapproval after the finals. Has this always been the case, or is there some kind of contract with a photography group that disallowed anyone taking photos? I know of no other state that does this; even at the NCAAs people are allowed to take photos of medalists. Is it always about money?

The stall call was definitely the correct call, but maybe should have been made after the 5th or 6th time they were stopped for stalemate. The complaints that the opponent didn't shoot are poor, because Mosely shot almost immediately each time the ref blew the whistle. It should be note that one of the Ryan coaches in his corner advised him not to shoot that last time, but to circle; he knew he would get hit if he shot again for another clock waster.

I count 3 champs for Baylor.

Anytime the mats lay only as flat on the earthern floor they rest upon, you don't have a level mat. What we now have is a bush-league venue. Plain and simple, a livestock floor should never host a wrestling tournament. If they won't change the site, then bring in a portable wooden floor like those used to set up basketball games in multi-purpose bldgs.

This is not directed at any one person, but has anyone noticed how poorly wrestling info is being shared this year. Not one word of Soddy's victory over Baylor last night. Info on tourneys like the Father Ryan is usually available in plenty, but their website looks abandoned while the team is knocking down victory after victory at a record pace. Why the apathy this year on the board? Our ND Letterman is doing his part, but I shudder to think how next year will look with young son graduating this year.

Is there not more info than the finals only; how about semis and place matches thru 8th place? The Ryan website has last year's results only.

Congrats to Baker for winning; must have been a tough tournament for Oliver and Robinson to each place 7th.

BA, with Ralph Potter, will win the D-2 state championships next year. No one knows more than he, that this last game is tough to take. But it's too late now for this season; they will dominate next year. Simply an observer from the outside.

Yeah, kind a like the D-2 records of the unseeded wrestlers? Bring back the one state champ.

I believe Bradley has a great draw, although it is interesting how many times they face Soddy Daisy early in many weights.

Didn't make the Duals, but I'll be there next week. The main objection I have is (remembering from last year) that hosting a State Tournament on a dirt floor seems demeaning to the sport and those who work so hard to get there. Could you imagine how basketball coaches around the state would react if they had to play on the same surface our wrestlers have to put up with. I think it's bush, just to save some bucks. The State ought to be a 1st class set-up and we have a rodeo arena. For the Duals, it might be semi-acceptable, but not the season finale. IMO
