Wow, Powell took a big step forward last night. AE isn't quite the same team from a year ago, but this ended up being very one-sided, to my surprise. Defense played great, and the offense was impressive. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come this season for the Panthers!

We also got to see a star in the making - Freshman WR Darel Middleton (6-5 225), who had a number of crushing downfield blocks. He saw his first varsity action last night, after Christian Kidd went out with an ankle injury in the 1st half.

I disagree. Montario Washington is a very solid rb. he has always been a rb and was asked to learn to play the db position and has excelled at that. it's not fair to compare and say he's no

Mobely. he's just a kid playing for the love of the game trying to do what he can to help his team win. give credit where it's due. Mobely and mcpheteridge weren't the whole team. they've moved on in their careers. let's focus on what Powell has now!
