Clinton did not look like a 2-6 football team. They have some athletes. Mario Foley and Blake Sharp are playmakers.

 

Derrick Milligan had another monster game. He had well over 200 yds rushing.

Clinton does have some athletes mixed in with some young linemen. They have played a very rough schedule in what is probably the toughest 4A region in the state. Plus their non-region opponents AC and OR are kicking butt. I was not surprised at all at their performance last night.

Clinton makes a lot of mistakes like fumbling the opening kickoff,fumbling a bunch more times and a personal foul that kept Powells drive alive. But! They will be scary the next few years if them young kids stay together.Clinton has very good athletes.

 

Maryville better not think Clinton will be easy because Clinton can give them all they want. Clinton should have won that game last night.

 

Clark Duncan made a great call on 4th down and called the halfback option pass when Clinton was ahead 28-26 in the 4th quarter. Everybody probably thought Milligan was going to run the ball. It was a great game last night. I was going to go to Greeneville vs ME but I am glad I didn't. Greeneville blew them out.
