Region finals has to do with what region you are in. I believe if you are in an "odd numbered region" you host in "odd years". So region 3 would host the finals in 2013.

Now, if no team from region 3 makes the finals (2 teams from region 4 make it) then even if it is an odd year, region 4 would host (the highest seed).

let me shed some light on this. We(region 7) do not play district tournaments due to the number of teams in one of the districts. So at the end of the season the records are looked at on how each team did against their half of the region. Seedings are then made for the region tournament based on those records. As far as who hosts we rotate it. The first place team hosts every other year. For example dyersburg was first for their side last year so they hosted. This year will be the south Gibson/westview/mckenzie/peabody/milan/south fulton/gibson county side first place team to host.

that being said, next year this will probably all go out the window since the districts will be completely different and their will be plenty of teams in each to have district tournaments.

If you haven't heard the new districts are D13: South Gibson, Milan, McKenzie, Dyersburg, Westview, Obion, and Crockett. D14: Gibson Co, Peabody, South Fulton, McNairy, Southside, Chester, Fayette-Ware, Lexington

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
