East Hamilton wins 6AA tournament! Red Bank and Central play today for 2nd berth.

Now with that said, rain played the biggest part in this tournament...... There was no double elimn it was winner take all last night in a 1 game shoot out. IMO Central really struggled with the curve ball and never made an adjustment. East Ham wins in 3-2. If any team is going to win a state championship they are going to need to make adjustments at the plate and hit the off speed pitch, I do think Central can make it to the Boro.... but is going to have to change there approch at the plate with the off speed stuff. East Ham, is the best non hitting team in the state period. When you can win balls games when you get no hit, and 1 hitters and 2 hitters your lucky and or run the bases very well they are both..... Don't think that will win them a title. That's IMO and my kid plays on the team. And I will not be schocked if some how Red Bank makes it in. And that would be a shame for Central.

Good to see Central with a good team. They have a great tradition. The best team in Chatt this year is Ooltewah. One simple reason pitching. Thompson, Mcclain or Dupree would be a #1 pitcher on any team in town.

I would agree, but still think that a McCallie vs. Ooltewah would be a great game, McCallie is pretty good.

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
