4th Block Athletics

I'm doing a survey. Please list any and all schools that have a athletic block/period in some copacity.

at Munford Hs we have our football players every day all year during 4th block. The 9th graders also have 4th block.after the season it is easy to work them into the offseason program. the basketball players go to the gym as soon as we are done playing

Houston County has 4th Block athletics for Football, and Boys and Girls Basketball

Beech HS, Gallatin HS, Hendersonville HS, White House HS, Westmoreland HS, and Portland HS (all four block schedule). Station Camp HS does not have an athletic period because of six period schedule.

 

The fourth block "Athletics" class (in season) is for no credit I believe. In the out of season semester, the class is usually Strength and Conditioning, with no practice allowed during TSSAA down times.

 

Now, this format is utilized differently at each respective school. For example, at GHS, only Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball and Football have this option now. In the past, Baseball and Soccer had this option. At HHS, Boys Soccer has fall S & C, while the Girls are in the spring. Also, Varsity Boys and Girls BB and Varsity FB are the same as GHS.

Huntingdon has football 4th block fall semester, girls basketball 4th block fall semester, boys basketball 4th block spring semester, cheerleader also get 4th block fall semester (don't ask. i don't know.)
