CHATTANOOGA 6-4-13 -- Danni Vines is 14, but she plays like an 18-year-old.

And wins like a talented 18-year-old.

The most recent evidence of her tennis talents came this morning at the Champions Club in Rivermont as the 5-10 lefty from Elizabethton, Tenn., claimed singles and doubles championships at the Tennessee State Jr. Qualifying tournament for 16s and 18s.

First, she teamed with Claire Sullivan to win the Girls 16s doubles title against Josie Rogers and Nithya Kanagasegar, followed by a straight set win in the Girls 18s singles finals against Iris Hao, 6-3, 6-1.

Other girls champions were Skylar McDonald (16s singles) and Anna Feaster and Grace Summers (18s doubles).

On the boys' side, the top seeds - Steven Karl (16s) and Jarryd Wooq (18s) - won singles titles, while the No.2 seeds - Andres Carro-Adam Rudowski (16s) and Cody Gubin-Marshall Sullivan (18s) - took the doubles crowns.

TVOC Notes: Vines and Woog are scheduled to play in this week's TVOC at Manker Patten ... Vines goes from winning the state qualifying to drawing Marie Casares the No.1 seed in the Women's Open in the first round on Thursday ... Woog and Maxx Lipman are a No.4 seed in the Men's Open Doubles.
