REDSMAN
Here is good debate fodder: who are the top baseball programs in 9AAA considering coaching, facilities, and State tourney appearances? 1- MJ 2-HHS 3-WIlson Central 4-Beech 5-Portland 6-SC 7-Lebanon 8- Gallatin
Volzchamps
1. Mt Juliet 2. Beech 3. Hendersonville Throw the rest in a bucket and draw them out year-to-year. None of the others can maintain the positive consistency to be called a "program".
REDSMAN
I'd agree with that. My 2-4 is pretty close and interchangeable....
Volzchamps
I'd agree with that. My 2-4 is pretty close and interchangeable.... Not hardly Redsman, Beech & MJ are consistently the best 2 in region 9aaa. Both in talent & performance. Hendersonville's has had a state tourney appearance. All 3 of these have played in or won the region championship in recent yrs. Take off those maroon CU blinders. Thus far, WC can't win in the post season enough to even make the sectionals much less the State tourney. This may change in the near future if they can develop a solid # 2 behind jr to be AJ Franklin. He is a solid D1 pitching prospect & should be WC's best since Adkins before he's finished.Until then, I'll stick with the 3 i listed and then all "the others" statement. REDSMAN
I can definitely see your points. I slide Beech to 3, but HHS stays 2. Beech is a great program. I spent a year there myself. John decker, Mike Hayes, Greg Shelton, and Jimmy Neal all winners in my book.... Im sure Im biased, but Ford is an excellent coach. Hard nosed...excellent coaches and Hendersonville too, and solid program all around.
FightinIllini
1.) MJ 2.) Beech 3.) H'ville Going forward, it will be interesting, MJ has Smith, Beech has McWillams, WC has Franklin, H'ville was young and will be much better next year. H'ville showed good progress by the end of the year. Lebanon could get much better witha good coach... Portland, Gallatin, SC ...cant see them making much noise. MJ has had a couple of players move in, but I don't know if they are difference makers.
DoyleHargravesConstruction
Wilson Central seems to always fall below where I think they might finish. Edited June 30, 2013 by DoyleHargravesConstruction

Doyle , one thing is for sure, a lot of parents , coaches and players in HS baseball , do not fully understand what "good" really looks like..... being good in HS is a fairly easy task.... Having seen both multiple times against top notch competition I'm sure with continued development & health they will play at the d-1 level. Should be fun to watch each in 9-AAA. I would hope that they find a school that has the degree they are seeking, a college coach that has a plan for them and where they can flourish. regardless of the level.
