Friendship @ Webb is AJ Long playing?

I really hate to hear AJ will not be playing. I was really looking forward to watching him play. Would have loved to see the cat & mouse game between AJ and Todd Kelly Jr. I still haven't heard if Mitchell is playing for Webb tonight. If not, then FCS could certainly have some success running the ball right at Webb's undersized DL. Hope all FCS folks have a safe trip to and from Webb!

Wow we're bad! Knox Webb fans that isn't the average friendship team. I've been watching friendship play since 03 and was on the team from 07-10 and that's definitely the worst friendship team I've seen. The good thing is that we're young and all those guys are getting experience. Plus the middle school team is supposedly pretty good so I think we'll be ok. This year is gonna suck though

Tough game for FCS. Really hated their QB didn't play and as it turned out our starting middle linebacker didn't play either. Was hoping to watch those two compete. Anyway, it really wasn't very competitive. Watching online it was a little hard to tell but FCS appeared to have good size in the OL & DL but skill players were lacking a bit. I'm sure the starting QB being out was a huge blow to them. Second week in a row where Todd Kelly seemed to be off his game. He made a few plays but overall didn't seem to be full speed, perhaps battling a nagging injury or something... I don't know.

I think the future is bright.  But it's tough to take losses like the last two weeks after such tremendous success in the past two seasons.  Everyone has a down cycle now and then.  If we can get the QB position worked out, we'll be fine the rest of the way.  In 2011 the QB situation looked pretty rough starting out and turned out okay.  It's time for McNeal to do what he does best - adjust to the talent he has.

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
