Rankin....THE COACH won at Riverdale...and now he has brought it to Alcoa...the Coach, not the classification....Same as GQ...won in 5A and steam rollin thru 6A......but them Owls are coming!!!

He left Riverdale for a reason. Because Alcoa has studs. Everyone knows he's a heckuva coach

Alcoa is not your average 3A team. If you looked at their team and didn't know they were 3A you would think they are 6A. They usually have over 80 players dressed out for football and are loaded with talent. They also tend to get more athletes from WB and Heritage because their tuition is cheaper than Murvil's. Like the last few years their starting QB was a WB product but jumped ship to get a ring. We have had a few other defectors in recent years also.

Well let's see here. They got the gold ball in 1977,78,79,89,2000 and back to back years in 2004 and 2005 before rankin came in 2006. So yeah they had tons of success for he arrived

When u have studs all over the field and Top notch coaching mixed with that u have a 3a school that could when a gold ball in 6a too
