Your offense seems to break out last week.  Or did the D get in on the scoring too?

It was pretty much all offense believe it or not.  The defense gave the offense a short field a few times though.  We switched things up a bit by letting our most explosive player run the ball.  He had 149 yards on 10 carries and 2 TD's.  That helped open up some things on offense.  It also helped that ER was pretty dang bad.  It still felt good to mercy rule a team for once this year.  They also did that to Lancaster in the first game but I didn't go to that one.

They also didn't make many bonehead mistakes against ER.  The previous two games we had over 160 yards in penalties.

Sounds like a few steps in the right direction.  Can you guys still squeak into the playoffs?

It would take a miracle because I'm expecting us to lose to Cascade this week.  If we beat Houston Co. the last week of the season we'd be 4-6.  I expect 4 wins will get you in if you hold tiebreakers over some of the other 4-win teams.  The problem is we wouldn't win any tiebreakers against those teams.  This will be the first time missing the playoffs in 10 years.

Hey by the way...is there any way you can talk Givens into coming to UT?  As you can see, we need offensive tackle help!

I can guarantee you he will never don the puke orange of UT unless he goes to a Halloween party dressed as a pumpkin. Even if Hugh left for a larger school and greener ($$$$) pastures.

Predictions:

"the academy" won't lose a game this week

Cascade wins

Cornersville wins

Bruceton wins big

Nashville Christian wins by 3

McEwen wins

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
