The Black Knights made the drive to Mountain City to take on the Longhorns and try to get to 4-0, They came away with a 39-26 victory. JC started the scoring on the first play as the kickoff was returned 75 yards fpr a TD and the Knights responded with a 13 play 69 yard drive to cut the score to 7-6, JC drove and score to take a 13-6 lead, but the Knights responded and tied it with a 3 play drive. Starkweather scored his 3rd td with 3 minutes left and the Knights led 20-23 at the half. The Knights then scored on a 51 yard drive to take a 27-13 lead. The Longhorns scored to make it 27-20 and the Knights responded to make it 33-20, JC scored again to make it 33-26, and CD scored one more time to make the final score 39-26. Tanner Barkley had 182 yards on the ground, Starkweather had 74 with 3 TD's and Waddel 105 with 3TD's for a total of 387 yards of offense, all on the ground. I watched this game on Johnson County's online stream so thanks to everyone who puts the stream on. Chuckey Doak travels to take on Sullivan North next Friday in a battle of 4-0 teams, Sullivan North won the only meeting i have heard of between them in the playoffs a few years ago 48-41.
