Update on Indy.  They won the regular season with the win against Franklin and will make Region for the first time. Coach David has done a great job with that group and it is well deserving.  I can't imagine being in that district this year with Indy, Franklin, Brentwood, and Ravenwood which all can beat any team in the State.  In most district my opinion on regular season winner having the automatic birth I would be against but with this District I think it is well deserving because of how difficult it is to finish on top in the regular season.  Great job Coach David and the girls at Indy!  I wish I could watch this District Tournament, it will be a crazy semifinal and final.

Ill be there to watch. Leave a pass for "Elvis". :)

Ok BigG lets hear it. Conditions were less than ideal for both teams.

A 3-3 tie is a good result. I texted KP after hearing CC went down. Hope all is good.

I look forward to your analysis if you don't mind giving it.

Ha ha... well said.  <_<

Second yellow card for me in 20 years.  That's not a bad record.

I can hold my tongue for a lot of things, but when one of my players gets hurt, and a foul isn't called, then I get a little "peeved".  Gotta protect your players.  They need to know you have their backs.

Went up 3-0 and I thought we were playing well.  The rain started POURING and it was difficult conditions for everyone.  For some reason, my girls still tried to play a "dry game" style on a "wet game" field (dribbling, short passes, back passes) and those just won't work.  First half (for us) was much better than the second half.

Cece got hurt, but it wasn't serious (we just didn't want to risk her for a game that didn't "count" towards post season).  Having her out of the back line is a big loss, but we adjusted as we could, though it isn't the same when she is out.  She is such a talented player.

Gotta say, those three forwards for USN are DYNAMIC!  What a group of talented players!  And the thing is, they are some of the CLASSIEST players I have ever seen.  Always smiling, always joking, always positive, and HARD workers.  They are FUN to watch.  They scored on a couple of our mistakes and did a marvelous job.  Their second half keeper made some great saves, as well, under some really difficult conditions.

Last 20 was sloppy on both sides, but that's all you could expect with the field the way it was.

While I would have loved a win, a 3-3 tie with a team as talented as USN is a good result in my opinion.

Chris Berman coined a phrase about Salera over 20+ years before her birth. " You cant stop her....... You can only hope to contain her". That kid is a special player. Good luck with that.

Salera is such an amazing player.  You were right, we couldn't "stop" Salera but Ensworth did "contain" her!  Ensworth wins 3-2!

Haha yellow card. I heard you threw a chair on the field then said something about a bad toupee on the ref? 😃 Just joking.

Good result no doubt. With conditions as bad as they were you had to feel good about being up 3-0?

USNs freshman keeper was pulled and that may have been a jumpstart to their offense? Lots of mistakes by the box for both teams led to scores from what I was told.

Spoke with Kris and CC is fine. Its funny but four of our TSC19 players (five if you count little Wegner) played in that game. Both keepers, LB, RB and Molly plays LF/RF. Im glad they're all healthy. Now on to Atlanta for worse conditions.

Good stuff and congrats on the result! ðŸ‘

Good win!! Wet fields help with crazy good players like her. Now to the next team in this difficult stretch for you guys. Good luck!

Thanks!!  As mentioned above, Salera is amazing and fun to play against, but the "wet fields" didn't seem to impact our "crazy good players"!  B)  We actually missed a couple of other point blank shots but guess they weren't needed.  Got a few more tough ones left and we'll see what happens! :popcorneater:

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
