On a side note, this means some teams will play 3 games in a very short time without 24 hours of rest between the matches.  I believe there is only a 14 hour rest period from the end of the A/AA semi finals and the start of the finals.

Don't know why you would post that.

We have a TOP quality CCS team that I know will bring their best game. My mind is solely on this match.

Your mind should be. Mine is on seeing my good friends at the game and supporting their daughters and my daughters teammates should they make it.

It actually was just a little pumping for my friends daughters. ðŸ‘👊 All the teams are capable of winning it and should be congratulated for their great seasons.

That's just the sound on swords clashing. Boo-yah! That's why we play the game on the field

I know this is not a Div II AA thread but just wanted to say that Ensworth is just glad to be participating in this wonderful tournament!  We are in unchartered territory as the girls soccer program has never made it to the semis!!  Proud of our girls and coaches on reaching this momentous occasion!!  I wish all the participants good luck this weekend and hope for some great soccer!!

i think if you check from last year, the times were reversed.  DII played early matches on "short" rest.  And they will again next year.

i think if you check from last year, the times were reversed.  DII played early matches on "short" rest.  And they will again next year.

......A-AA played at 1830 on Friday and 1330 on Saturday last year.....17 hrs rest

now if ole Booger ant bad stakin bout 2014; GPS (thats the all girls DII private school chattanooga) spanked Brentwood Academy on Friday @ 1830; and on Saturday they sent Briarcrest packin @ 1600........20 hrs rest

NOW...lets take a scroll back up and peek back at BigG post of this years game times.....GPS (thats the all girls private school in chattanooga  who is suprisingly still DII) plays tomorrow (Friday) @ 1830 and if they play for they championship on saturday BigG says they will play @ 1830.......22 hrs rest.

now lets do a bit of Booger Math.....

DII GPS plays tomorrow at the same time they did a year ago ..1830...and if they win, they play @ 1830....22 hrs rest

A-AA ND plays tomorrow at 1630 (same time as last year) if they are so fortunate; and if they win tomorrow they will play @ 1100 on Saturday....16.5 hrs rest

2014  - A-AA 17 hrs rest and DII GPS 20 hrs rest = A-AA 3 hrs less rest than DII

2015  - A-AA 16.5 hrs rest and DII 22 hrs rest = A-AA 5.5 hrs less rest than DII

both years DII rest more

someone besides Doug S double check that wizardtry to make sure he'e not the only one with a foot in mouth; Booger was rong once....

No Sir; neither year did DII have an ealier start time than A-AA, which is not the issue here.....BigG and Boogers shot was on rest time which is less this and last year than your DII......that is a terrible attempt defending DII early matches and shorter rest hours than A-AA......

in A-AA; we dont call that a reversal

Booger just sayin gav.gif.pagespeed.ce.U7nhG05fer.gif

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
