Region 6 - 5A

Independence will eagerly be waiting for our #4 seed opponent. Region 6-5A is definitely the most competitive this year top to bottom. We dismantled four 6A teams in the preseason and season (Overton, Ravenwood, Franklin and Smyrna) in order to get ready to play our best football in the playoffs. We are getting ready for war the first 3 rounds of the playoffs with probably all Region 6-5A teams. Should make for some great football games.

Indynation17 all those was scrimmage, except Smyrna and RB for Smyrna Casey Perkins torn his ACL 1 qtr. u won 21-7 and scored on fluke plays, but hey it's apart of the game. U guys play in a cupcake region.Don't get on here bumpin your gunz about Indy ready to see a 4 seed from this region. Indy is not the Indy of last yr, bunch and them guys are gone. But good luck to all

Gallatin 35 Cane Ridge 34

The first 3 seeds will win 1st round playoff games, Gallatin will not. 2nd round Cane Ridge beats Beech, Hillsboro pulls the big upset beating Independence. 3rd round Hillsboro beats Cane Ridge, 4th round Hillsboro beats Henry County and will meet Oak Ridge in the title game winning the championship.

Hillsboro can't put up points against CR, there to young on offense.. CR defense to strong. Did u see the game 3 weeks ago?

Hillsboro cross CR 50 yard line one time in that game and that came from a pass interference call. The td Hillsboro got came off a punt return, Hillsboro had -26 yard rushing and 29 yard passing in that game. CR could have scored again but coach wood took a knee 4 straight times with 4min left in the game and gave Hillsboro the ball back and they did nothing. The game look close by the score but it wasn't a close game at all. CR left points on the field with drop passes. Come on MrFootball71

Ravens are a good team no doubt but I don't see them being motivated tonight. Region is clinched so nothing to really play for. Right now Hillsboro is the best team in the region so that is why they will win out.

Hillsboro is a bit of a mystery. Not really sure what to expect to be honest, but to say they are the best team may be a bit of a stretch. Cane Ridge has done everything they've needed to. Beech has played above their heads and won ball games. Just hope they will be in it tonight...

Sure didn't. Hillsboro really may be the best team in the region right now as long as they limit the mistakes.

 

Now for our little friend, MTGB... Not sure why you always feel the need to take shots at other teams, but ok. Good thing your team wasn't playing in this region or you would have another .500 season and not playing next week, but thanks to the super 32 and a weak region you'll get two play a couple more weeks.

What an emotional roller coaster this season has been for perhaps the toughest region in 5A. Let this sink in this morning. The team that was preseason favorite to finish 1st is the team sitting at home next week with a record of 7-3. Any other region in any other class and that record has you at worst a 3 seed. I witnessed several good teams this year. Most if not all had a different skill set. CR earned the region title, it wasn't given to them. The fans of teams in this region knew they would be good. I think a Beech fan said they played out of their mind this season. 2 region losses is a tremendous feat. Hillsboro had a rocky start but finished really strong. Putting the pieces together at the right time. Gallatin kept getting better as the season went along. The victory over Hendersonville was their biggest win of the season. If we can get back to protecting the ball in the postseason maybe we can sit at the table round 2. Good luck to us all. I really believe that one of us 4 will be playing in Cookeville in December.
