Anymore teams post there footage to HUDL, scrimmage and all. The days of going to scout are not like they used to be, and if you are not playing a team first game of the season, it doesn't matter, because there will be game footage to see what you are doing after that . Great coaches have the ability to implement a game plan with changing only subtle nuances to the plays, which will keep an opponent guessing. Someone mentioned players laying down, and not playing with any heart. I can tell you I was watching some highlights from last years Blackman CC game and I was embarassed by CC fan behavior.  I say that because I could hear a woman, on film laughing at the team because we ran 'ha ha haaaaa right up the middle" When parents and fans cannot be supportive of the entire team, who do they expect them to play for? To have heart in the game you have to have a greater purpose than playing for yourself. Because when adversity hits you and you are "only playing for you" it become easy to quit. Somebody has got to give these kids a reason to play

I agree with you 100%.  Fan negativity has been the case for Franklin County for the past 10 years or longer. What parents say negative or positive about coaches  at home or at  games have a impact on the players thoughts of the staff and team. So if negative is what they here every where the go then it will be almost impossible for a head coach or his staff to get the players to buy in. But after a few years the head coach has to improve his team every year no matter what class or region your in to keep positive vibes with the fans and parents. If not, he will fail. The fact is everyone likes to see improvement but wins are what fans and parents love to see.

You are right on the money. Wins matter, winning culture matters- promoting positive attitudes in the stands, hallway and at home falls on the coaches shoulders at times, right or wrong it happens.  The us against the world attitude has worked well at places like Oakland, Cookeville and Smyrna.  That control starts in the lockeroom, and there has to be a cohesion in the coaching staff that promotes the team as a family . Playing for each other. Winnning the play for the guy next to you. It just takes one reason for a kid to have pride in something to start to build a winning program.  It also take adult acting like adults. Not childish whiners blamming their kids playing time on Coach being stupid or having favorites. If you want more time, work hard to be so good that no one can deny you are better suited to start. Who knows your extra work ethic may feed the fire to continue to build on

I agree, but back on subject I still believe CC pulls this one out, this could be a shoot out

Franklin County Defense held Coffee County to only 114 yards of total Offense. Alontae Taylor got a total of 88 yards for the night. Franklin County Offense moved the ball down the field with little problems from  Coffee County defense and Jarious Johnson scored tree of the 4 Touchdowns for FC.  All in all  it was a good night for FC. I see much improvement on both sides of the ball from FC.

Records have no indication on anything, the raiders would've won a lot more last year if in a different region, the team from GA has athletes and most teams in GA could beat the local teams here, in years past I've seen 1-9 teams blast a team that went 6-4, it will be a good game for sure, I do see the raiders pulling this out though

I don't think that most 1-9 teams in GA could beat most 6-4  local teams in Tenn. That 1-9 team from GA couldn't beat a 1-9 team from Tenn CC proved that. I am pulling for CC to beat T Town next Friday and keep that Coffee Cup in Manchester. You guys need a high school football coach not a collage recruiting coach. not talking bad about ski but i think he spends to much time on Alontae  and not enough time on the team as a whole. Don't get me wrong Alontae is the real deal but he can't do it by him self . CC has a some good talent on the team that hasn't been tapped into. just saying maybe more focus on the whole team more than just one player. JMO.

Christian Heritage is by no means one of the GA powerhouses. CH has less than 400 kids. I think it's big for FC to get off to a good start. Don't be surprised to see the Rebs run off a few in a row.

That was my point CCvol17 was implying that poor teams in GA could beat our local teams. Coffee County only had one scrimmage against any team other than themselves and was very secretive about it. You my be right. from what I have seen in FC's pre season scrimmages and the way they played CC in the game opener favored teams will take FC more serious than they did last season.I see FC finishing no less than 5-5 and possibly finishing 1 or 2 in region 5 5A. JMO.

Lol5-5! I've said repeatedly that 7 wins minimum and folks laughed...6 more to go!

    • One final thought. Coach Keith claims he was not aware of the player's failing grades. I won't comment on that, just to say this, IF he did not, whose job was it to see that this kid did not play ball at CHS? That person should be looking for a job and they might be, I don't know.
    • They have fired the principal, 2 teachers, at least 1 counsellor and 1 coach so far. I don't see it from my view in Oak Ridge as a coach thing, he  was just implicated in asking 1 teacher to  fix 1 kid's grades.   In our local media(Clinton and Oak Ridge)the principal is who is the originator and pusher of the fraud. The others are peripheral. The coach isn't even the big story, just here on a sports site.  The media view is the principal did it to cause CHS to be seen as excellent by the state. He committed fraud to do that so he might spend a little time in jail IF that is valid.
    • And from coach himself, he wasn’t told he was let go because of the ineligible player.    that’s just what the schools needed to happen to fit their bull
    • Wish it was made clear before a coach gets let go or not retained instead of being sold as the reason he was in trouble. I was told the kids who got grades changed, 97% or better were non athletes but the coach is taking all the heat so the schools can pretend it wasn’t their job to know. heck, what do you think could happen when you hire husband and wife as head principal and head guidance….   that’s not being said though…
    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe.  Last time I came up there to watch my pirates one of those guys in that pickup trucks flattened the tires on the lawnmower.  This is payback.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
