Coaches,

It’s time again to start thinking about your 2018 Softball Tournaments.  This year the Zaxby’s Tournament will be held  again at the New Richellen Park in Clarksville.  This tournament will be sanctioned by the NFHS and the TSSAA and sponsored by Rossview again.    Make sure you sign up for the tournament on March 23rd & 24th to make sure you are still working with Rossview and the tournaments that have been in Clarksville the past 17 years.  This is the old Play It Again Tournament that was renamed a couple of years ago to the Zaxby’s Classic and has been one of the largest tournaments in the South for many years.  Because of umpire rates and rising cost to rent facilities our entry fee will be $300 this year.

Please email me back if you are interested in this tournament.   We hope to have our website up soon so you can sign up on line, but get back with me soon, this tournament will fill up again this year as it does every year.

Date: March 23 & 24, 2018

Tournament : Zaxby’s Classic

Field: The New Rich Ellen Park http://www.mcgtn.org/parks/parks-and-facilities#richellen

Fee: $300

Director: Phil Burkhart

Thanks,

Phil Burkhart

    • Siegel Middle School is looking for a Head Wrestling Coach. This will be the 3rd year that the school has had a program, but the Stars have had a middle school team for a while now. This is program is established and has a club team (Stars) feeding it with wrestlers.    Siegel High School is looking for an assistant coach. Again, this program is growing with talent every year. This past year we had 2 state placers.    If interested you can send an email to starstnwrestlingclub@gmail.com or freemand@rcschools.net

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
