I don't know much about SGC, but FRA is athletic in the secondary and skill positions.  Secondary needs to be ready!

I saw that!!!!  The qb can throw the ball a country mile and it looks like a dart. I hope we can get pressure on the qb with our front and not give him time to throw the ball around the yard.

SGC - 24

FRA - 18

Final

It was a tale of 2 different halfs of football. The first was dominated by SGC in everything except the scoreboard. SGC goes to the locker room with a 10-0 lead at the half. We DOMINATED every stat your can think of but came up short on points on a couple of long drives that stalled inside the redzone.

The second half FRA finds the passing game and starts putting the ball in the playmakers hands. FRA is a good football team and will win some games this year. They have some wrinkles they need to work out but they are by no means a pushover. They have some really talented kids especially there front 3. Both DT's and the nose are really big and tuff. SGC had a really hard time running between the tackles tonight.

The panthers are young but are ready to play some ball! Good luck to the panthers the rest of the season!!!

    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
