I just want to say good luck to the Goodpasture Cougars on Friday night. As a former player, I know how intense this rivalry is and the emotions involved with playing this game. Also, as a former state champion, I know the excitement that comes with the playoffs. Enjoy it, cherish it, and always remember it, because these games (especially when you get to play Lipscomb again) are some of the greatest memories you will have in high school. Play hard and make us (your faithful fans) proud. GO COUGARS!!!

Hey GHSCOUGARSFAN when did you play? I am a former player also. 93-96. The lipscomb game is always special. I saw the first game this and I was surprised the way the Mustangs ran the ball against the Cougar's D. I think if the Mustangs run the ball with the same success it could be a long nite for Cougars. But good luck to the Cougars.

I played until '99. I was on the team in '95 when I was in 8th grade, so I got to celebrate 2 championships and watch the one that slipped away from us in '96. I wasn't able to be at the first game this year and am not going to be able to make it back for this one either, but you better believe that I am going to have someone calling me with score updates constantly. I hate that I am going to have missed both of them because of all the incredible memories I have from the games that I played in. I hope that Goodpasture is ready for them and figures out a way to keep Lipscomb from running all over them this time because if they win, I get to see them the next weekend. If you get to go, cheer for me... this game should be an excellent one.

Given your extensive coverage of football and the apparent breadth of your expertise, I am inclined to seek your esteemed opinion on the matter: who, in your estimation, emerges as the favored candidate? Furthermore, since the mantle of head coach has been vacated, upon whom would you bestow the mantle of leadership?
    • Shoulders dad graduated for TC, and Kyle began his coaching career early on at TC although he wasn't there long. Shoulders would be a homerun, but don't see him leaving Macon anytime soon.

Might one contemplate this notion from such a perspective? Allow me to clarify that my intent does not lean towards disparagement, save for instances where provocation is directed towards myself or the esteemed troupe of the Trousdale County Yellow Jackets who proudly find domicile upon the hallowed grounds of CREEKBANK. In contemplation of the candidates under discussion, it is conjectured that individuals such as Gregory, Woodmore, Vetetoe, Eden, Hackett, and Cothron may emerge as contenders. Regrettably, it is deemed improbable that Shoulders shall express interest in this pursuit. Speculation arises regarding the potential candidacy of BJ West, albeit the implications of familial ties with Lafayette introduce complexities to such a scenario. The enigma of Dr. Clint's deliberations looms large, fraught with the weight of a formidable decision yet to be made.
    • My kind sir, you seem to be lost within the time space continuum having traveled from the 16th Century or you aspire to hide your true intelligence by masking your language with that of the great playwright. You know good and well, your commentary takes your fellow comrades hours to decipher what you are really saying and most of them are likely left questioning whether you have insulted them or find them to be in your favor. I offer you some advice. In my travels through this area of the country, it is best to speak slow and with a twang and you don't annunciate  words to their fullest. Your points will be clear then!  Any names been mentioned around town as Actual Applicants to this job? Seen several post mentioning individuals, but I haven't heard of any of them except for Shoulders. Does he have ties to TC?  Have amy of the other names mentioned ever been in the HC position before?
