1-0 AA DeKalb County visited Pickett County 0-0 after winning their first game 61-15, but the Lady Bobcats were too much for DeKalb with the Lady Bobcats rolling to a 77-32 win. The game was over early giving PC the chance for all their players to get plenty of playing time. Probable Miss Basketball nominee Courtney Pritchett played outstanding D and got her share of rebounds, plus 9 points, while Junior Aaliyah Brown scored 16, had a 3 and 3 steals. Freshman phenom Abbi Bilbrey scored 16 and had 2 steals and led in rebounds in her first start as a Lady Bobcat.  Another outstanding freshman played a lot of the game...Chloe Burton with 3 steals and 8 points. Freshman Bailey Evens hit both her 3 point shots, while starters Savannah Hammock and Gracie Martin also had outstanding games with 11 and 6 points. Also seeing plenty of playing time was sophomore Elly Smith. It was 25-9 at the end of 1, 45-16 at the half and 62-37 at the end of 3. The team had 5 threes. They travel to Livingston looking for their 6th straight over Hogeye on Tuesday. They Lady Bobcats looked faster and deeper in talent than last year's state tournament team. While it was a tough loss for DeKalb County they looked like a team which will have their share of wins this year. Good Luck to DeKalb County the rest of their season.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
