Betsy @ Sullivan East

The Pats get Betsy and Greeneville in back to back weeks. It will just be nice to play again, on a Friday night, and not have to almost travel to Knoxville. Maybe all these road games will be rewarded with home field throughout the playoffs. I’d like to see the last 7 games be at home. 3 regular season games and 4 playoff games. That’s the goal. So, this week we go 1-0, stuff the run and harass the QB all night long. Run the ball down their throats and mix in an efficient passing attack. Continue to play sound football and improve again this week.
Anyone seen the forecast? LOL

There are reports of a Cyclone around Sullivan county next Friday night.

I’ve had people asking me why Betsy doesn’t pick up a game on their bye week. Some are insinuating that we don’t even want a game. Considering we play G’Ville the next week, maybe having an extra week for prep isn’t a bad idea. That being said. Betsy’s bye week is on October 20th. I looked at the schedules of everyone from here to Knoxville. Not a single team has a bye week that matches ours. That’s week 9 if you’re not keeping count. So most everyone is in the middle of Region play. Maybe someone looses a game or can rearrange their schedule to make it work? I don’t know. All I know is, we play who we play, when we play them. We handle our business, and let the Lord take care of the rest.

And good luck to everyone from here on out. Safe travels, clean games and for the love of all that is good and right in the world, decent weather!

The East QB has over 1700 yards passing. #1 in the state by far. How does Elizabethton stop that passing attack? Elizabethton's defense hasn't let to many teams score when they did there were a lot of 2's on the field. Could be in for a challenge. Elizabethton's D has a lot of INTs could be a chance to rack up some more.

When your spinning the ball against Johnson county,Volunteer and Unicoi and your a pas first team anyway that don't surprise me .

If you told me East would play dirty I would call you a liar. It’s horrible. We are kicking the crap out of them (3 pics in the first half). 72 is a punk. I normally don’t call out kids, but there’s no place for that kind of play in football. These refs suck too. Letting stuff go until someone gets hurt. Go to the Tom Taylor Sports Show on Facebook live to see the crap. Knocking players down as they try to get up, hitting late. I’m all about aggressive play, but. It like that. AND he has a mouth. It’s 27-0. You got nothing to be talking about. (There’s another missed holding call).

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
