Oakland 59 - Blackman 40----score needs correcting

The scoreboard has it wrong..... Oakland defeated Blackman handily tongith 59-40..... I only caught the second half, but it was all Oakland, who is playing without two "starters", Nick Watson (out with an injury) and Marease Crawford (no longer on the team).... Oakland looked very good, and should be one of the Top 10 AAA teams in the state before it's all said and done..... It should be between Columbia and Oakland for the REGION title this year.....

Oakland played real well in this game and is beginning to work together as a team. The loss of Nick Watson has hurt them but he should be back after Christmas. Ro Murray has done an admirable job at the point in Watson's absence but he is a natural 2 guard and the team will prosper when he can play that position.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
