Allball
RBS will win as long as they feed the ball to the post! Running down the floor all wild and not running any offense will get you beat. The last couple of games have been wild for them. They force way too many shots. McClure, Hudson, and Sullivan are never consistent players. The way I see it, the worse thing that can happen is for them to have a real good game because they will shoot the ball open or not. Of course that is only my opinion.
Catalyst
Give it to the posts?!?! If they would have fed it to the posts against Westmoreland they would have gotten beat. That 15-2 score at the end of the first didnt have much to do with Meador. McClure and Rice shot the lights out the whole game. I seriouly doubt giving it to the posts will win the tourney. Eddie
Anyone have a copy of the bracket, or at least the first round pairings?
muffin
Seems as if no one has anything.
TNBballMan
Wednesday night... #4 Macon County vs. #5 Hermitage Springs Thursday night... #2 Watertown vs. #3 Westmoreland Friday night... #1 Red Boiling Springs vs. winner of MC/HS Championship game will be played on Saturday night. You people have no right to be bashing anyone on the RBS team. When Meador is having a rough night in the post, those outside boys pick it up and have his back, and vice versa. They play together as a team and it's not a one man show. Coach Owens has brought the boys a long way. Macon should handle HS and they will then matchup with RBS. Interesting cross-county and semifinal game. I give the nod to RBS pretty easily. Westmoreland should play well against Watertown and that leaves Westmoreland vs. RBS in the finals of the Christmas Tournament for the 2nd year in a row. Those are my predictions and we'll see if that's how it plays out before I make a prediction on the final game.
Catalyst
I think you intended that to me, and I wasn't bashing Meador. I just said that the posts did not win the game against Westmoreland, the shooters did.
choker12
It doesnt matter how u got beat.....U GOT BEAT! I'm so sick of people not giving RBS any credit. It doesnt matter if they beat the snot out of someday, everybody always says, "We beat ourselves..." That is bull. RBS will continue to prove people wrong week in and week out. Oh and to you Cody, Meador didn't contribute much, but we didn't need him and there is not a single player on Westmoreland's whole squad that can even think about gaurding Meador. When he got the ball, it was two points. All I want is for people to give RBS the respect they deserve..... Catalyst
First of all, did I take any credit from RBS? No, I said THEIR shooters beat us. I didnt say we beat ourselves. And second, if the thing about Meador was true, why was he 3 for 7? But that is ok, we will see how many "week in and week outs" RBS continues. They better hope they can win their own tourney. choker12
Meador was 3 for 7 simply because he had an off shooting night. It was not due to the defense by Westmoreland because he had good, wide open looks.
Catalyst
So that says what about his shooting ability?
