Chris Ayers - Morristown West

Does anyone know what happened to that awesome shortstop. Did he go pro? I went to school with him in 1997.

Last I heard he was working at the Boys Club in Compton, and then he went on to be a successful teacher at Berkely. Or was it a doctor...no that was Dre. He's out in Cali somewhere.

He's a 12th-year college student at Walters State.

I thought he was working in the Texas Rangers organization.

Ayers had a successful, but short stint playing slow-pitch softball...played the entire outfield in one game...it was absolutely tremendous. The kid has quicks like no one else I've ever seen. He covers more ground than a tarp.

 

But he can't catch a cold...

Ayers is in the Rangers organization my sources just told me that. I heard he was starting up a hitting clinic. It was going to be at Frank Lareno Park in Morristown the week of May 19-24. I will later post more about this when i get details in

I recently heard that Ayers is a prima donna.

 

He "supposedly" has team baseball pictures tomorrow and can't make our auction draft until way after 2 p.m. It sounds like he and his buddy Clint Spencer, who also can't make it because he has to babysit his niece, are just afraid they won't be able to get Hee Seop Choi before Barry Campbell does.
