The Top 10 in Clarksville Hoops.......

Not that anyone has never started a thread like this before, but I thought I would post my Top 10 in Clarksville area..... I still have to get out and see a few more teams to be even more accurate, but this last week has Definitely brought some things into focus.....

 

1) Antwan Harris, 6'3 WF Kenwood.... Antwan is an absolute player, and has really picked it up as of late. He has shown the ability to score from mid-range, the break, or slashing to the hoop... Antwan is averaging 20.7 ppg.... Mid-High Major D-1.....

 

2) Mike Sampson, 6'4 2G Kenwood.... Mike has shaken off a rusty start and is playing as well as any player in Clarksville right now, coming off a 23 point, 13 board effort vs Smyrna.... Mike is averaging 15.5 ppg, as well as averaging a double-double.... Low-Mid Major D-1/D-II/NAIA.......

 

3) Calvin Carter, 6'2 2G Northeast.... Calvin is slumping a little lately, and is in jeopardy of losing this third spot... Calvin is averaging 17.1 ppg.... JUCO.....

 

4) Drake Reed, 6'3 WF Northeast.... Drake is really playing well, averaging 22 a game in two games in Memphis this week, and looks to have a shot at the third spot... Drake is averaging 14.9 ppg.... D-II/NAIA/Low-Mid Major D-1.....

 

5)Brandon Burney, 6'1 2G Montgomery Central.... Brandon is playing very well, and hit for 30 in a game this week, but he is doing it against a lower level of competition.... Brandon is putting up 22.0 ppg in five games.... NAIA/D-II....

 

6)Thomas Haynes, 6'5 WF Northwest.... Thomas hasn't had huge numbers this year, which has dropped him from pre-season Top 4 lists, but he is an all-around threat with great potential.... In three games, Haynes is averaging 13.0 ppg.... NAIA/D-II/D-III......

 

7)Quinn Bradley, 6'3 2G Clarksville High.... Quinn's numbers haven't been overly impressive, but he is an active defender, plays hard, and is multi-dimensional.... Quinn is averaging around 7.2 ppg (in 4 games).... JUCO.....

 

8) Jamel Hunt, 6'2 2G Northeast.... Hunt is the defensive stopper for Northeast, and is a streaky offensive player as well, with games of 18 and 17 points this year.... Hunt is averaging 10.4 ppg...... JUCO.......

 

9) Kevin Townley, 5'11 PG Northwest.... I have yet to see Townley, but his numbers are good, and the word on him is that he's solid.... In three games, Townley is averaging 10.7 ppg.... JUCO....

 

10) Derrick Henson, 5'11 2G Rossview.... I have also yet to see Henson, but he is the heart and sould behind Rossview, who pulled off a big win over Henry Co.... In three games, Henson is averaging 11.3 ppg...... JUCO.......

Hey thats about as accurate as you can get this early in the season. Thats a very good indication of whats going on in Clarksville. The top 10 players you named off are very solid and have done a lot for thier teams.

This is a very good SQUAD, I'll take them, but who would you start. I guess it would be game situation. Good Job GOMAB!!!!! Our teams are real close just for a few players so these must be Clarksville Elite, Early in the Season!!!
