WHY ALL THE FUSS OVER WHO IS BETTER, MCEWEN OR WAVERLY? BOTH TEAMS HAVE A GREAT GROUP OF GUYS THAT ARE ABLE TO PLAY AND BOTH TEAMS ARE HAVING A GREAT YEAR SO FAR. INSTEAD OF TRYING TO SEE WHO IS BETTER BY OPINIONS, WHY NOT JUST SUPPORT EACH OTHER. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHO IS THE BETTER TEAM THEN THE PLAYERS SHOULD TALK TO THE COACHES AND PLAY A REGULAR GAME NO SCRIMMAGE THEN WHO EVER WINS WOULD HAVE THE CHANCE TO SAY THEY WERE THE BETTER TEAM. AS FAR AS PUCKETT NOT BEING STOPPED, I BELIEVE HE WAS IN THE SCRIMMAGE GAME.HE IS A GREAT PLAYER AND TAKE NOTHING AWAY FROM HIM, BUT TAKE NOTHING AWAY FROM WAVERLY EITHER CAUSE THEY DID STOP HIM.

Ya Waverly needs to play McEwen every year so you wouldnt have people like Russel from McEwen running there mouth about how good McEwen is. A game would tell the story of how much better Waverly is than McEwen

Ok..it would be a good game...but who said the players and fans would enjoy it? It would be a nighmare. I can just see the fights starting all over again-that's why they stopped playing each other a long time ago. It was too big of a rivalry. Now that that is all out of the way....Daniel (13th Sophomore in the state) would dominate Waverly...(hey..at least Bubba Nichols got Honorable Mention as a Junior )

I disagree with you, I don't think you would have fights all in the stands like you state. Most of the kids from Waverly and McEwen are friends and have alot of respect for each other. It is just a few people from McEwen that don't want the game to take place. As for Puckett and Nichols, they are both great players. We are fortunate in that we have quite a few good young talented players in the county. However, those player rankings don't mean a thing. Anyone could start their own player rankings on here.

I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU THINK THERE WOULD BE FIGHTS. THE TWO TEAMS PLAYED A SCRIMMAGE GAME IN FOOTBALL THIS PAST SUMMER AND EVERYONE SEEM TO GET ALONG FINE. THE PLAYERS HAD NO PROBLEMS PLAYING AND THERE WERE NO FIGHTING BETWEEN THE FANS.
