COPAMUNDIAL- I've read your posts, and you seem to know a whole lot. I was wondering why you thought that Gallatin was gonna be so good this year. They lost 9 or 10 starters last year, mostly to graduation but also because of two new schools in Sumner County. Pope John Paul took a couple and is supposed to be a good program in a couple of years. I know of only one really good player that is left at Gallatin, so I was wondering if there is something that I am missing. Also, I was wondering what two teams you thought had the best chance to reach the finals. Keep writing posts because I enjoy them.

compamundial, good info for the teams. However, I don't see how anyone can think that Gallatin is going to be good this year, or anytime in the near future. They lost all their best players...most importantly, Trey Moore and Taylor Nolen. Those were the players that carried that team. If Gallatin was going to have "their year," it would have been in 2002.

And Hendersonville, I'm glad you had good words for them. People say that Hendersonville USED to be a powerhouse, and they USED to have Clarksville's number...what are they talking about? Hendersonville had ONE down year (2002), and people talk like they haven't won a game in years. Their seniors and juniors are very strong this year and they still have strong goalkeeping. Also, unfortunately, Coach Shrock no longer coaches with Hendersonville. He has taken an early retirement due to health problems I'm told. He was an incredible coach though.

I'm sorry my friend, but I believe that Sumner county soccer is dominant. Not Williamson county, Sumner.

I've read some of these posts that say the Royals team in 2001were banned for a year, then they go on to say that Williamson county is premier soccer. True they are premier, but what they don't tell you is that it was a Williamson county team that got in a fight with them, the fight that was so violent and got the Royals banned. They are always out of control behavior wise; that is why I believe that Clarksville, Gallatin and Hendersonville are better teams: their coaches have control over their behaviors. Donahue (Clarksville), Harper (Gallatin) and Plummer (Hendersonville) are the best coaches I have seen in middle Tennessee in several years. Why? Because they can maintain the temperment of their teams, which is why I believe those teams will succeed this year, not necesarily win the state championship. People around here and everywhere believe that winning a state championship and only that makes a coach a successful coach. I'm sorry but I have to mention Donahue's name again. He will probably end up and retire the winningest coach in Tennessee, and he could conceivibly never win a state championship. Now tell me when he retires he will not be deemed by others a successful coach. Think about that.
