Red Boiling Spgs player has family tragedy

On Sunday night, the home of Jeff & Pat Asberry of RBS burned. The family has lost everything. Their daughter, Hope is a member of the RBS Lady Bulldogs softball team. They also have 2 other children, Faith, age 9 and Chance, age 4. Please keep this family in your prayers!

 

There will be a shower for them on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Tri County Electric Corp. building in Lafayette. If you need information on donating anything to this family, call 615-699-3400.

Yes that was very heart-breaking to hear about. They are going through a very rough time right now. The house re-ignited Monday night and it completely burned everything in the house. Hope's car was melted on the front and and basically totalled. She is an asset to the Lady Bulldogs team but this could cause her mindset for the softball team to be elsewhere. I know your donations for their family will be greatly appreciated.

It is amazing to see the community at work in Macon County. The Asberry's suffered a terrible loss of their home and personal things. Within a day's time people in the community are doing whatever they can to help. I am sure they appreciate that and also appreciate the people in Macon County that have helped already or will continue to help them. Hope will have no problem playing ball. She has a great family behind her, she may take one step back for the next couple of weeks but watch out. After that she will knock the door down with the help and support of her family.
