govu
Outside of tonight's basketball game, the next big sports event in Lewis County will be on Saturday, May 3 at Barnes Auction. The Main Event of the night will be the match between former East Coast Heavyweight Champion Earl "the Pearl" Taylor, whose only career loss was to Evander Holyfield in 1998, against current Lewis County Amateur Heavyweight Contender Joshus "Buster" Keltner whose record is 14-0. Buster's career includes TKO's of featherweights Andy Lawson, Nathaniel Scott, Chris Edgerton, Steve Edgerton, and Brad Tenry. Buster will be leaving this Sunday for 8 weeks of intense training at the Tennessee School of Boxing in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon his return he will face Earl "the Pearl". There are several other matches scheduled on the card for the event including the highly touted match-up of Travis "Big Mac" McKissack and Little Jerry Brown ODB. Also on the card will be grudge matches between Richard "Lone Wolf" Duvall seeking revenge on Rodgo, Eugene Grinder will face his long time rival Howard "the Bear" Spears, and Rambo will face Linda the Janitor Lady. Tickets will be on sale at the Basketball game tonight for $10. Tickets at the door on May 3 will be $15. In interviewing for this story, Buster told reporters,"I am going to shock the world on May 3". Stay tuned for more on this breaking story. MeanJeanJr
This sounds like a very interesting fight. I doubt anyone could beat Janitor Lady though. I hear her only weakness is her love for a certain faculty member at LCMS.
BusterJr
Right now bookies at the Hodgepodge have placed the line at 5-1 in favor of "The Pearl". However "Buster" continues to insist that he will knock "Pearl" out in the 3rd Round. Both sides are in talk with SBA(Spears Broadcasting Agency) about possibly televising the fight. MeanJeanJr
This fight will never go the distance. Pearl is to strong and in better condition for a 12 round bout. However this will never go 12 rounds. Buster has fought many tough opponents, but none like the Pearl(professional boxer). If Buster can avoid Pearl for the first 6 then his luck will run out in the 7th and he will get KO, possibly losing several teeth and a broke nose. volplaya
I saw the flyer today and I believe Buster will soundly defeat Pearl by TKO in the 8th. Buster has height, weight, and reach all in his favor. As long as Buster avoids Pearls powerful jabs and mighty upercut then he will win the title. Guest thestuff
Just wondering if McKissack's glove company will be the lone supplier of the gloves to be used in the matches being promoted????
