Referee bias at Hillsboro?

Has anyone else noticed how calls at Hillsboro always go their way. Am I being paranoid about this or have any of you experienced this as well? Basketball, Football, it doesn't matter. I heard the Maplewood BBall game their was horribly officiated.

I try to never complain about officiating. Hillsboro had a good team and congratulations on a good season for Troy Allen. In our game with Hillsboro, we didn't play well and it beat us, but we got in extreme foul trouble. Now there were many controversial calls in our game and we got the short end each time. Had we been a mature team, we would have been able to overcome this, I believe. We played a 2-3 zone just for the reason of foul problems, however, we still fouled 2 times as much as a team that plays sticky man to man defense. Yes, it is hard to figure!

coach, i feel your pain. i heard the same thing happened when hillsboro played whites creek. they play man to man defense are rarely called for fouls. there are few teams that can play whites creek man to man without fouling(maplewood for that matter) a lot. i heard they did a lot of bumping and pushing and no fouls were called. i can't speak on football.

I was there. Officiating was not just bad, it was just one sided. The better team one that night. Had the Wood not been in foul trouble the outcome may well have been different. No fouls were committed while 24 was jacking the ball up from deep with a man in his face. Maybe these games should be played at a neutral site in the future.

    • One final thought. Coach Keith claims he was not aware of the player's failing grades. I won't comment on that, just to say this, IF he did not, whose job was it to see that this kid did not play ball at CHS? That person should be looking for a job and they might be, I don't know.
    • They have fired the principal, 2 teachers, at least 1 counsellor and 1 coach so far. I don't see it from my view in Oak Ridge as a coach thing, he  was just implicated in asking 1 teacher to  fix 1 kid's grades.   In our local media(Clinton and Oak Ridge)the principal is who is the originator and pusher of the fraud. The others are peripheral. The coach isn't even the big story, just here on a sports site.  The media view is the principal did it to cause CHS to be seen as excellent by the state. He committed fraud to do that so he might spend a little time in jail IF that is valid.
    • And from coach himself, he wasn’t told he was let go because of the ineligible player.    that’s just what the schools needed to happen to fit their bull
    • Wish it was made clear before a coach gets let go or not retained instead of being sold as the reason he was in trouble. I was told the kids who got grades changed, 97% or better were non athletes but the coach is taking all the heat so the schools can pretend it wasn’t their job to know. heck, what do you think could happen when you hire husband and wife as head principal and head guidance….   that’s not being said though…
    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe.  Last time I came up there to watch my pirates one of those guys in that pickup trucks flattened the tires on the lawnmower.  This is payback.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
