TSSAA rules question

If they are not a faculty member they must attend the non-faculty coaches class and pay a fee for said class. Any school that tries to circumvent this will be TRULY sorry if they get caught. They will forfeit all games won, pay a fine and suffer suspensions. Just sign up and take the class. There is nothing to it.

k3urout is correct, but it has to go a step further even. Before the coach assumes his/her duty, they have to be approved by the school administration and by the school board. This is what TSSAA's Bernard Childers (Childress?) said at the TSSAA Rules Meeting this season.

If a coach was simply "pulled out of the stands" as you said, without that approval, they would have to be a designated member of the school's faculty, I believe. Otherwise, there would be an infraction of sorts.
