If you could put together a dream team of past and present players from your favorite high school, who would be on it. Your team should have a point guard, a shooting guard, a wing/forward, a true forward (power or shooting), and a center. Let's see who has the best team! I'll start with Cleveland High School

Point Guard- Darnell Mee (Western Kentucky and Denver Nuggets)

Shooting Guard- Russell "Juice" Ware (Hiwassee Jr. College)

Center- Vincent Yarbrough (University of Tennessee and Denver Nuggets)

True Forward (shooting or power)-Del Baker (University of Tennessee)

Wing/Forward- Greg Davis (Oral Roberts University)

It's tough to name just 5 when you leave great players like Rich Burns and Dale Kennedy off. I'll stick to my guns.:)

What are some other dream teams out there? :)

Hmm...for Bartlett... I've "only" been following them since 1996-97, but that's when they've been best anyway.

G - Jonathan Loe, 6-3 2001 (Ole Miss, transferred)

G - Amory Sanders, 6-1 1997 (SEMO, led NCAA in 3pt shooting)

F - Troy Jenkins, 6-3 2001 (Redshirted at Lambuth)

F - Rick Houston, 6-4 1997 (Richmond)

F - Roy McCrary, (6-4?) uhh...1990-ish? (JUCO?)

Off the bench:

G - Chase Hardin, 5-11 2003 (Undecided, Gomab hon. men.)

G - Greg Tucker, 6-2 2000 (McNeese State)

G - Chris Scobey, 6-2 1998 (Alabama-Huntsville)

G/F- Jaycen Herring, 6-4 2004 (Gomab #5 rising senior)

F - Brandon Allen, 6-2 2005 (Gomab #29 rising junior)

F - Adrian Jones, 6-5 2002 (Belmont)

F - Daniel Weaver, 6-8 1998 (Memphis, then SEMO)

Umm...if these two count, they play a lot, might start:

F - Galen Young, 6-7 (1993?) (Played at Bartlett three years, then transferred to Hillcrest for his senior year, went to UNC-Charlotte, was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks and played in the NBDL for a year or so)

C - Ben Frederick, 6-10 2003 (Quit school in a disagreement with the coaching staff right before his senior season, home-schooled, and is at Union)

Bradley's dream team:( I am not going back before the mid 80's)

Chad Copeland would be my first pick. He may be the best to ever come out of Bradley.

Josh Hare... not as talented or athletic as some of the players that have come through Bradley but worked and still works as hard as anyobody I have seen. He is strong, can post up and can hit the three.

Josh's brother Justin would be on this team. He can play point, wing or post up if need be. Mush better athlete than his brother but doesn't play with intensity.

Alphonso Pugh......... Big, strong, soft shot and gets better with each passing game.

This would probaly be my starting five with Zach Carpenter, Univeristy of Alabama at Huntsville player as a backup post and Kellen Pickel (best shooter and most hustle I have seen in a player at Bradley) as a backup to the one or two. Probably would have Kent Smith as coach with Earl Rowan as backup. Steve Williams would be team doctor.

    • I really don’t get your point. Yes, Bearden lost two superstars, that can’t be glanced over, but if you still look at their roster, they have star talent almost everywhere. I’m sure Jones was expecting to lose players. I mean, it’s been rumored since the days they both stepped into Bearden, but I mean, they still have star talent everywhere, receiver, linebacker, safety, defensive back, running back, not to mention they have two probably top 20 quarterbacks in 6A battling it out every day for the starting position. And knowing Jones, I’m sure there will be another star talent that lands in Bearden this off-season, which, based on hearing rumors, may already be there. I’m not too sure. But Chaz and Brody will definitely hurt, but I really doubt it will affect Bearden as much as you think. Maybe during the postseason going up against teams like Oakland, but I doubt during the regular season.
    • The ironic thing is that in 13 or 14 they did the same thing to the baseball team and hired a moron to coach them and the kids refuse to play. nobody came out they changed the coach to a competent baseball coach and within 3 years went to win a  state championship.so things do hold water when it comes to these things.
    • Dingleberry needs to educate herself on Clemer’s “resume” and why he has been dismissed at a few previous positions along with his love of milf and cookies before making her final decision on the matter I do believe. He would not coach my son just from the stuff outside of the X’s and O’s. Throw the football inadequacies in the mix and it just adds to the list of reasons also. Just a really bad deal given the list of coaches that applied from across the state and beyond there is no explanation whatsoever other than agendas why he was hired.
    • Not looking good Captain, not looking good.We had 0 Srs before all this and had a decent amount of Sophmores and 4 or 5 Jrs.Now I heard we have about 14 kids I have not confirmed that and honestly I don't think I will go any further with it.What the community wants and what the faithful supporters along with players and parents it doesn't matter. The Loudon School board made the decision for us and it has killed our program.Folks can say butt hurt whiners whatever they want to but we are a very proud Community and expect the BEST choices to be made from our Administration and that's just not the case.I was at a Basketball game this winter for my grandkids and ran into a former teammate of mine that I actually coached youth league with for a number of years and he told me they were over 100 applications turned in and they hired the best friend of the School board Member who suggested him.He has even reached out to try to help the guy and he refused so here we are going into the fourth season of bad football.GB since 1985 has not had 3 consecutive bad seasons, now we are facing 4 with no help in sight. How are we supposed to get behind such incompetence?Dingle berry says we sound like Democrats lol.Democrats accept all the crazy and weirdness in this world and just roll with it.Im no Democrat.I'm also tired of fighting for something that our say so holds to water.
