How could you leave out the midstates top scorer, Adam Tomlinson, out of the top seniors? He led the midstate in scoring and was second in rebounding and only got honorable mention.

Hey Gomab2, you listed Justin Morris-Giles Co. honorable mention junior...he is a sophomore.

you listed Kash Givens-Giles Co. honorable mention senior...he is a junior.

Not bashing, but why do you see the drop in Tyler Smith behind both Delk's?...1st team state, Mr.Basketball finalist?? Thought Tristan Fletcher would be higher than an honorable mention.

I feel like you might rate some mid-state ballerz a little high , maybe some emotions into some of those rankings???

Great job overall Gomab, we sure do appreciate all your time and hard work into these rankings, and all the other great things you do for the CoachT site. Thanks again!!

Clay, complete mistake on my part about Kash Givens (clicked and dragged to the wrong spot, haha)...

I have Justin Morris as a Junior. That's what I have been told he is, and what he is listed on the Giles roster I have as well. Tyler was the only standout Soph on Giles, as far as I know...

Eric moved up, obviously, as you could see...

As for Tyler, I still have him rated as a High Major, and Top 3, but I feel the Delk twins have slightly surpassed him at this point, but don't have as much hype around them. The Delks are just as tall as Tyler, and just as good of athletes, but they are great shooters and penetrators as well, which give them the -slight- edge...

Thanks for the comments, and keep 'em coming...

Not downing your rankings, but I think Jarrod Bain of Camden is much better than the 100 spot you have him in. He was the 11-AA District MVP,All-Region,All-Tournament,etc. He averaged 18 pts and 11 rebs a game.If you ever get a chance to watch him play, you'll know what I mean.

i saw the phenom know by his parents as joe thompson and to the rest of the world as "proffesor booyah!" ranked as the 29th best senior. i guess gomab, or whatever the heck his name is, never saw sweet sassy thompson play. not to take away from the rest of the players in this ranking, but i mean, c'mon, who else in the state, or the country for that matter, shoots above 60% from behind the halfcourt line. he's a hardcore, howie longesque, street fighter with the touch of navratilova. he drops bombs like the 101st. i once saw joe drain an in-bounds pass at half-court when his team was up by thirty. that's proffesional taunting. once, when an opponent started to double-team him the second he got to the three-point line, he decided to just throw up bombs from just inside the half-court line. he popped five in a row before the opposing coach decided to press. i heard one time he decided he was only going to shoot three's left-handed, and from the top of the key; he had eight tre's that game. ya'll remember how kieth bogans shot terribly last year, but somehow found his stroke this year. that's b/c thompson went to the uk basketball camp last summer and showed bogans what he was doing wrong. joe did the same thing for scottie pippen at his camp last summer. bottom line: thompson is the #1 overall. maybe not the best at each aspect of the game, but he's got all the tools. his defense is sick. he's shut more guys down than a hot lesbian. if you want to talk about guys who can dunk or crap like that, leave joe out, but if your'e talking about guys who can combine and 1 shake with textbook fundamentals, all while drainin buckets like a plumber, then you are talkin about the J-O-E.

    • I've always been a football fan first and then if you have a band that's awesome. No question that DB has one of the best bands in the country and the whole region should attend at least one DB game just to see their band. I don't know if Nick Saban could come to Kingsport and build a football program that could match the Dobyns Bennett band's success. That said,as mentioned before, a couple of things would have to change in order for the Tribe to just win a state championship on the field.Besides a program that starts from the peewee teams and goes all the way to J Fred with all coaches and weight training { in time }on the same page. Sometimes it also takes a little luck like the 1998 Vols .There are a lot of great athletes at a lot of big schools around the state and just because you want something doesn't mean your going to build a program like Alcoa has. Yes,start at the bottom and have guys that are quality coaches teaching at every level is 100% the first step. Parents can make it a lot easier by getting their young athletes into an early start with conditioning and weights as well when they are old enough to lift.If your son is a man in the weight room before he gets to DB , then it won't take a "Dobbs" coach to make him competitive against other schools athletes when it comes to strength.
