Shawne Williams #1 player in the STATE!!!

Memphis' Shawne Williams is clearly the #1 Player in the State, and the #1 in 2004... I goofed by having him #2. No doubt is this kid so incredibly big time, it's scary. Jerrell Houston is #3 in 2004, and Corey Brewer is likely #3, but has been completely outplayed all summer long, so he could slip even further... But the word is SHAWNE WILLIAMS>>>>>

now if you would just do that for the sophomore class as well. Your two kids are good players with great potential, but Smith is the best player of the three.

Hey PulaskiVols we might as well give up on this one. There are several reasons Gomab has for doing what he did! No. 1 is of course the Delks are on his team. Reason #2 is because they play in Tennessee and Tyler plays in Alabama. Reason #3 and probably the one that carries the most weight is because Gomab asked Tyler to be a Midstate baller as a freshman and was turned down! I know Gomab is still a kid himself so maybe someday he will learn!

Can you not see the reasons that Gomab is ranking the Delks ahead of Tyler. I'll tell you this, it's not bc Tyler would not play on his AAU team. Gomab does not hold grudges. The main reason the twins are ahead of him is there college potential. Tyler is a 6'5" 4 man who can't shoot. He is a great HS player but the Delks are 6'4" and 6'5" guards who can shoot, handle, and jump. Next time don't question Gomab if you haven't thought all the way thruogh it. He knows a little bit more about it than we do.

That's not to say that Smith can't be a better player. Remember, these guys are only sophomores. It's more difficult to predict college potential for guys who just finished their sophomore year than, say, for guys who just finished their senior year.

Tyler is a #2 guard on the 8th ranked AAU team in the country! He has also played point but is the shooting guard! So don't even go there! You do not have a clue do you? Gomab will have no choice but to make him #1 Jr. when Tyler gets back to Tn. bball! If Gomab continues to keep him #3 when HS bball starts this winter he will prove not only Gomab wrong but the rest of you as well! He did it once and he will do it again! Tyler played post in HS because GC needed a post player. That should show you how versitile he really is! There were'nt many times this past season when he went outside but when he did he would make you pay. Just ask Bolivar when he went 3 for 3 to start the game before he moved inside.

speaking of rankings... u have the kid from lausanne ranked 48.... i have seen carlos play and he is clearly top 10.. dont knock the kid because he attends a small school... how can he be top 55 by hoopscoop in the nation... and 48 in the state.. he is also being recruited by major college programs so.....but shawne williams is the #1 player in state

Who cares where there ranked. Isn't this all about getting the kids exposure? Helping the kids have the best opportunity for the best college chance. B/c that's what it should be all about and Gomab is doing a great of that.

Carlos is a good player, and ranked right where he needs to be. He was cut by Memphis YOMCA this year, and is Hoopscoop top 55 in the STATE, not Nation...

And other guys. Bolivar's Ryan Wiley had ZERO interest... Now with a high ranking and a few phone calls, he is getting some Low D-1 looks......... SO, don't even pull this ignorant stuff smokey, or you'll look really dumb, very quickly...
