A team that lost ten straight games, Meigs County, is going to Memphis while the team who beat them four times, Walker Valley, is going to be staying at home. Very, very, highly intriguing. My prediction for Meigs Co: two games, twenty runs and they are going back to the mudbanks of the Hiwassee River. They could always skip the tournament and go straight to Beale Street, or better yet, they could get special permission to play in the softball tournament. Either way, they have ::sigh:: a lot to be proud of. Good luck Meigs County.

meigs win 8-1 and rallied to get 6 runs in the top of the 7th. tad roberts hit a 2 run homer to put meigs up 4-1 and we got 4 more later that in that inning.

well big bad blue, even if you do find it intriguing, we did what we had to do to get the trip to memphis, and we are playing for a state championship and not you. the season doesn't mean anything when you get to the post-season. now if it's ok with you, im gonna go get a map to memphis.

Good luck Meigs. I wish it would have been us, and if it wasnt for that one hit in the bottom of the 10th it might have been. But it wasnt meant to be. Maybe next year. Anyways, good luck over yonder... bring a ring back to East Tennessee.
