Mitchell opens season with 81-0 victory.

Looking at the score alone you would think that the tigers ran up the score . On 4 occassions Manassas had 4th down inside their own 10 yard line and went for it. After failing, we received the ball inside the 10 yardline. The only thing we could do was score. In the 2nd half we played mostly 9th and 10th graders. I just don't understand that logic.

In all seriousness, i read that mitchell has a new qb, rb,wr. any truth to that.and im not trying to bring any player down in this situation but mitchells QB last year didnt have a strong arm at all from what i saw in warmups and in the game itself against milan.does this years QB have more talent than last years?

1 more thing what was the head coach of Manassas thinking when he didn't let his team punt and at least save them from axx whooping like they got? Not meaning any disrespect toward Manassas just a little curious!

I saw Manassas last year and after they attempted a couple of punts they decided they could push the other team futher back if they ran the ball on 4th and 10.

1. Yes our quarterback is a LOT more talented than last year. He was 9/14 247 and 3 TD's. We had 293 passing and 232 rushing.

 

2. Memphis only has a few playing fields, all the schools must share them. Games must be played on Thursday.

Why didn't they attempt a 90 yard field goal? I mean, the ball is live after it hits the ground and acts the same as a punt. Surely they had someone to kickoff/kick extra points...?

I agree Idunk2 there is no reason for 81-0. When you got the ball inside the ten

the QB should have kneeled the ball. Thats like a 12th grader beating up a 1st grader what's the fun in that?
