Explain to me why our so called best athlete, just recieves the snap and hands it off 99.9% of the time. They work on throwing the football in practice, and do a decent job at it in practice. They work on it in practice and do a decent job with it, then come game time maybe throw it only 3-4 times. Open it up, and try and take some of the pressure off of Booker. Edwards behind center, Sharpe in the backfield at reciever move him around. He himself ought to be throwing a fit to do this to try in show how versitile he really can be. Coach has begged for athletes before wishing he had them. Well the last few years he has had them, and blown his chance to show what he could do with it. OK now let's play ball, GOOD LUCK FRIDAY READ ABOUT YOU IN TENESSEAN SATURDAY.

6-d: Kick returner, punt returner, Punter, Kicker, FS, Option QB.

(KR/PR-same thing) Sharp does occassionally return kicks, but not imprisively.

(Punter/Kicker) Sharp punts good but is horrible as FG/EXP kicker, he's like 1 for 10.

(Free Safty) Only used in rare occassions and just to say he played D.

(Option QB) Never has tossed ball on the option, but does run great behind a big O line.

Panthers need to use him more but Daddy Sharp won't let him get hurt. See you at Bethel next year, as a punter, maybe maybe not.

LCHS 2003

A kick returner and a punt returner are two different things and yes he does start at both of them. Has almost returned 2 punts for touchdowns. Does need to work on FG.. BUT THE QUESTION WAS VERSATILITY NOT ACCURACY

As far as a kickoff returner he has only had about 5 chances to ever touch the ball on kickoff and has been kicked away from everytime. Returning kicks is similar to punts and he can do both.

As far as not pitching the ball, it is called a option because you take the best option most of the time my option would be to run a kid that runs a 4.5 than a kid with a 5.0.

A far as seeing him play somewhere..where do you play my friend,,on the playstation I think.

move dave to wide out...???? well it makes sense. he already gets the ball 90% of the time, we might as well move him to wide out and let him get it the other 10%. im sure the players who already start would really love that...they bust their tails in the off season and practice to get that pos. and then you move a player their who has no expirience there at all. man you're a genius. ever consider coaching?

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
