I think Smith Co. has the better team on all sides of the ball. its just whether our staff will step up and coach them to victory. If they coach like they did against Macon it will be a real ugly one for SC. Smith Co. plays there best when they mix it up alot and get EVERYONE involved instead of relying on 1 or 2 players. you have to have the defense guessing what you gonna run or WHOS gettin the ball.we have a good solid player at every position,we just need to use them.

 

I have heard numerous times from our staff that we dont have any allstars on our team and that may be because they are not coached very well and that they have their confidence so low they think their not any better than anyone else.They are not motivated at all. I have talked to 6 or 7 players and they say they are never told that they do a good job and always find something wrong with technique or the way they did something. They think they dont ever do a good job,that they are only an average player.its not gonna be good until they have confidence and motivation. until the coaches get their ducks in a row, were gonna have problems with real good teams, regaurdless of our talent. i will support my guys no matter what, because i know their great.

Sounds to me like you are second guessing the STAFF. I didn't see them run the wrong routes, miss tackles or drop passes. I saw a game where players decided the outcome.

If you do not agree with the STAFF's decisions maybe you should retire from the sport completely and make room for someone who has a little faith. You did get ran down from behind but I suppose that was the coaches fault? I hope the coaches see your post and appreciate it for what it is. One lose does not end the season but one back biting player can upset a whole team.

Last week I went 4-1 on 4-3A picks,on the season I'm 17-3.

Game of the Week is TC at SC. If TC wins at SC they could be hard

to catch...Jackets by 4 .... TC 24 SC 20...

Portland at York... Winner of this game looks like a team that will be

playing in November...Hard one to pick...York 14 PHS 13....

LA at JC...Hog Eye.. Hog Eye two in a row..LA 32 JC 12...

CC at DC...Cannon will put up a fight,,Dekalb to win....DC 29 CC 12

I fully believe the OWLS will regroup and retool.....and be ready to rumble Friday Night. I have all the confidence in the world in this team. When the OWLS pull this one out this weekend....It will make Region 4-3A just about even!! Execution WILL be better this weekend!! GO "MIGHTY" OWLS!!

it is Beans brother and if you knew anything about people from smith co. you would know thats why i put MF instead of SF at the end of my reply. i guess i do need to get my own name im just on here alot but i guess i will be now. and yes bean did get run down from behind but he catches everything thrown to him and if im not mistaken that was prob about a 45-50 run. im guessing here but since you know bean and you have daddy in your name you prob have a son that does not start for Smith Co. and if thats the only way that he can start is if bean quits i dont think he needs to play anyway,so i wouldnt talk.im saying Bean makes big plays for the team when given the chance along with other good players but our coaches did a terrible job of play calling and getting the team ready to play in a big game our play calling has gotten worse in each game and now it bit us in the ***.

first of all I must agree that some of the play calling was questionable, however, our coaches are some of the best in 3A and I have no doubt about it. Coach Maynord is a great coach, he teaches the game well and also a lot about life, not just football!!!So don't run down the coaches, we still have a good team and good chances to go a LONG way, so have faith!!
