WesVLT
Knoxville catholic-North Greene game? BGA-Father Ryan game? Pope John Paul II-St. Benedict game? ECS-Central game? Webb-Alcoa game? If you can give me DETAILED recaps of these games please! BGA 31, Father Ryan 21 Father Ryan scored on its first drive against the homecoming-stricken Wildcats, but BGA quickly responded to tie the game and subsequently posted 24 unanswered points before Ryan could stop the bleeding. John Harlin ran for 106 yards and 2 scores, also catching a TD pass and picking off a late Ryan touchdown attempt as the 'Cats ran their record to 6-3. Father Ryan scored a couple late TD's to try to regain control, but they were not enough to tame BGA. The Wildcats will now prepare for a D2-2A bout with Notre Dame (1-8), while Ryan looks ahead to Baylor (3-5). AusDan
The Catholic North Greene game was not a good game at all. NG is a small team with nothing really to offer. Catholic outpowered, outran, outeverythinged NG. Hats off to NG for a great effort and for the way they handled themselves on the field. Final score...63-0. Catholic plays archrival Webb next week. wildcatfan
AusDan, I hope Catholic hosts BGA in the playoffs- if you do, I will bring the Clinic Bowl Network Playoff Game of the Week broadcast crew to the stadium... Good luck against Webb. And guys, maybe this is nit-picking, BUT, I want you all to know that Division II is properly written as "Division II" and abbreviated as "DII" or "D-II," not "Division 2" or "D2." Sorry, guys, but that has always irked me!
molnariss
Pope john paul won, beating St. Benedict 28-21.
jmatt73
Do any of the middle/east DII-AA teams have to play each other this week and in the first round of the playoffs? I know that ECS play St. Benedict this week and in the first round. And the same goes for Harding and Briarcrest. That's kind of weird don't you think? Just wondering what others think about this set up.
BriC
No, had Catholic lost to BGA then Webb and Catholic would be playing this week and next but that didn't happen. Now Catholic will host PJPII and Webb and BGA will play each other. The result of the Catholic/Webb game doesn't matter in the seeding.
