  1. Come on Lipscomb U could beat them too... but I think Chuck Norris and maybe Jack Bauer are the only two mean who could contain Brandan Wright
  2. Slater is amazing! Saw him Saturday, he doesn't make a mistake. Lipscomb University is getting a good one out of him... best PG ive seen so far... of course i havent seen Willie play
  3. Mariun Price had 41 against Munford and 31 against Fayette-Ware One Fayette-Ware guy had 38 and another had 31 Price is averaging 27.6 so far through six games and that includes games of 17 and 18... Might be tops in the state through that many games
  4. Harding beat Munford tonight at Munford in OT 76-74... Mariun Price was 12 of 12 from the field and 3 of 11 from the three point line... he also added 9 steals, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists... Price fouled out in OT but the Lions were able to overcome an early 15 point defecit to win the game and move to 4-1.
  5. Harding kicked off the season with a 75-67 win over the Cordova Wolves. All-State Player Mariun Price started off his senior season with 33 points, 2 rebounds, 3 ast., and 5 steals... Tacuma Alexander picthed in with 14 points, while Aaron McMillian added 7 and 6... Senior Nathan Parrish hit the three to tie the game late, and then Price helped Harding pull away. Just getting this out for all those people who didn't even have Price as a finalist last year, just trying to show EVERYONE what he is doing... Harding plays again on friday at home vs the Bartlett Panthers
  6. Do you not think they are going to keep reloading? Now, I know they can't seem to win that last game every year, but they still have awesome regular seasons, but it seems everyone is counting them out. All I know is everyone else (besides Briarcrest, and Bishop Byrne) are down and Harding still has Greg hardy, Adam Rodriguez, Mariun Price, the Alexander kid and Brennon martin....
  7. Harding plays Briarcrest after lsoing to them last Friday at home 21-13. This week the game is at Briarcrest. That also means ECS plays St. Benedict for the second staright week. last week ECS rolled on SBA at ECS, this week the game is again at ECS!
  8. ECS- best fo the three, good o-line (got pushed around by harding a lil tho), great tailback (hall simmons) ok QB in John Mark Braswell, and pretty good WRs in John Selph and Casey Hill. defense is reason why they are real good, they have shut down a lot of good teams. Played really tough schedule. Hall Simmons is hurt is reason for close Bcrest game and reason for loss to Central. ECS has beat both Harding (35-7) and Briarcrest (12-7). Briarcrest- 2 things they have good o-line, good RB #28 Taylor Dillon, runs really hard. Andrew McKay is also a good RB for them. they are a misdiresction team. Dont have athletes they had last year (ref. Robert Towns/Melvin Cole) QB has been shaky, played Bram Cannon(#9) and Wes Henry (#11) vs everyone. Played 5 QB's in a game vs carver (#1 defense in Memphis) and they threw 7 INTs. Defense has played well of late, but have been known to give up a lot on the ground. Braicrest has lost to ECS (7-12) and beat Harding (21-13). Harding- probably the most athletic of these three teams. They don't show up for the big games. 2 really good RB's Cortez mack (800yds) and Todd Cox (850 yds). QB Will Patterson is sporadic, played good against Bolton, played bad against Briarcrest. Defense is worst its been in a long time. Its totally opposite of old, can shut down passing attack and cant control running game. Should have beaten Briarcrest (shot themselves in foot, were inside the bcrest 35 7x, and only came away with 13pts). Harding has lost to ECS (7-35) and Briarcrest (13-21).

  15. Give me the odds and ends! Its a really big game, and i think Harding can compete with a really good Eagles team. ECS Harding Record 5-1 (0-0) 5-1 (1-0) Streak L-1 W-4 GTG Hall Simmons Todd Cox Passing B B Rushing A A+ Total O A A D-passing A- B- D-rushing B A Total D B+ A- Special Teams B+ B+ Coaching A A- Momentum F A Overall A B+ Last 4 meetings- 20-14 (OT) Harding 31-21 ECS 7-0 Harding 14-7 Harding Harding is a running team, they avg. over 250 ydpg on the ground and only ab 90 or so through the air. Todd Cox is getting over 100 ypg and Cortez Mack is in the 90's. Will Patterson is the QB, and i guess his big stat is only 2 INT's this year (one was a hail mary and the other was a tipped ball), so he sint hurting this team. When he wants Will can run. The OL is really been dominating the past few games allowing over 1400 yards in the last 4 wins on the ground alone. ECS is a running team with a really good running back in Hall Simmons. He is one of the most punishing runners for his size. He hits the hole with great leg power and he is one of the best cutback runners you will ever see. John Mark Braswell is the QB and he can hurt u if you concentrate to much on the run. His favorite target seems to be the pseedy Casey Hill how is a very gifted athletic reciever. He also returns kicks for ECS. The OL is undersized just like Hardings, but good enough to get the job done, which they have. Someone else can lets us know ab the two teams Defenses. How ab some picks for this game as well?

week 0 Wrap-up- ECS- beat 5A Cordova 21-16, Hall Simmons had 3 rushing TD's as the running game was great, but Brawell wasn't very impressive completeing only 2 passes Harding- beat 3A Treadwell 21-14, Todd Cox had a 44 yd TD catch from Will Patterson (9-20-109-1(end of half), Cortez Mack had a long TD run and ended the game with 92 rushing yards, Daniel Phipps also blocked and recovered a punt for a TD. Harding took the ball inside the 20 4 times and didnt score any of those times, once being a fumble taken back 85 yds for a Treadwell score. Harding was ok, but needs a lot of work. Briarcrest- dont know much but lost to 4A powerhouse Memphis East 20-7, Sophmore RB for east had 3 TD's while Briarcrest only TD came off of a blocked ount, i think Jamal Goodrich scored for them. St. Benedict- lost to 1A Fayette-Academy 36-13. Have a real good FG kicker but thats about it. Standings: T W L PF PA ECS 1 0 21 16 Hard 1 0 21 14 Bcrest 0 1 7 20 SBA 0 1 13 36 What does everyone think about the outcome of this league?
  17. What do you think about those three teams (crest, ECS, hard) for this year?
  18. Pretty sure it was 20-7 East, that is what the news said. East running back had 3 TD's and B-crest only score was a blocked punt. This means in D2-AA West the standings are: ECS- 1-0 (beat 5A Cordova 21-16) Harding 1-0 (beat 3A Treadwell 21-14) Briarcrest 0-1 ( lost to 4A East 20-7) St. Benedict 0-1 (lost to 1A Fayette-Academy 38-13?)

Aight, we are about 5 weeks away from the start of the season and week 0 and i dont think there is a clear favorite in this division. So lets get reads on all the teams from some educated people and give us ur pick by pick year example: West- 1. Harding, 2. Briarcrest, 3. ECS, 4. SBA East/Mid- 1. Knox Catholic, 2. BGA, 3. Knox Webb, 4. ND, 5. St Pope Playoffs- Harding beats SBA, ECS beats Briarcrest Knox Catholic beats ND, BGA beats Knox Webb BGA beats Harding, ECS beats Knox Catholic BGA beats ECS
  20. Todd Cox, i mean come on, one of the best athletes in the State, PERIOD!
  21. Like u said no "PT", and you claim "Todd who?"... Not to say anything but werent you a little scared since Todd didnt see a kickoff return all night, but congrats to tha team on the State Championship.
  22. But lets be honest fellas, whose the best in this class....... Todd Cox, anybody disagree?
  23. Harding is up and down, but its the rebuilding year. Last yuear was the drop from the Top 5 in the State, and now they are rebuilding w/ good young talent and two senior leaders. If the cards are delt right Harding can get the third or even the 2nd spot and make a good and suprising trip to the sectionals and maybe pull out a victory there. We will see though, it could be another Briarcres whooping if Jada gets hot and another person can help her out. Hardng has to get the ball to Phipps, and she needs to create. Also i think they need to press tomorrow, and force Briarcrest to get fast paced because if its up and down the post game is taken out and Jada becomes more in affective. Also they got to hit the threes and not get screwed like they did Tuesday.!
  24. EGOHASLANDED-- i think you might change your mind about Harding after friday. Even though have the school is sick(including some bball players, i know my daughter is). The can bury the three and really relied on it, now they have Byron Taylor as an inside threat they will become more balanced. You will also be suprised how deep they are even though they are very young. Ive seen Lausanne, BA, CBHS, MUS, Harding, Father Ryan, Briarcrest, ECS, and Bendict play and i think Harding(not being biased) is numbe rone team in state (D2) right now. They lost to a good Covington the other night, but they looked dead tired and like i said half the team has the flu. BTW, father ryan dude who posted first, dont say yall are the best just you won the Golden Ball LAST YEAR(Billy May is gone). My Top 20: 1. Harding- 13-4 2. Father Ryan- only 2 losses to one team 3. Norte Dame 4. Lausanne 5. ECS 6. McCallie 7. BGA 8. Brentwood Academy 9. MUS 10. St. Benedict 11. CBHS 12. Knoxville Webb 13. Knoxville Catholic 14. Briarcrest 15. Bishop Byrne 16. University School of Nashville 17. Montgomery Bell Aacdemy 18. SBEC 19. Memphis Catholic 20. Tipton-Rosemark Academy
