Knoxville area coaching changes

Ive heard that Coach Julian is going to take the Gibbs job as soon as Carroll resigns and he is susposed to resign this year.

There is no need to discuss the Clinton Job because they are taking applications through november and will be interviewing after that, a couple of their top choices are still in the playoffs and they will not act until they see what those guys decide to do....

4Afan--great point. While the Gibbs area is growing wildly, with the exception of Clinton, they may not win a region game for a while. On the other hand, with the growth at West and Central, they may be 5A soon along with Maryville.

I think the sleeping giant will be South-Doyle. They have all the athletes in school,but are struggling with discipline. With the two new administrators there now they should develop into a powerhouse in a couple of years. They are going through the same problems that other schools when through years ago. They have athletes, size (after a good year in the weightroom), speed, but no tradition. With the right hire at the Head job they could emerge as a great 5A team.

RD94 IS CORRECT THAT HALL'S FRESHMAN TEAM LAST YEAR ( NOW SOPH) BEAT MARYVILLE FRESHMAN LAST SEASON. I HOPE COACH JULIAN DOESN'T LEAVE HALLS! I BELIEVE NEXT YEARS D WILL BE BETTER.HALLS JUST NEEDS TO IMPROVE ITS OFFENSE.

First of all its not Hall's its Halls and their defense is always good and their offense is always the down part of their team. That will never change and it doesnt matter if it does. Defense wins championships and that is why Halls has one of the best traditions in the state.
