My goodness Grad from the nest and Ima Owl,it would take those four(Minor,Cotham,Goodenow and Burke) to get Ooltewah in the state. Wow you now have 4 teams in your district. Burke was not very impressive against Phibbs(Halls) in the worth showcase or maybe you forgot(0-2). One thing for sure you live and die Owls.As you have on more that many occasion reminded the people on CoachT of Burke and your mighty Owls, but as usual Ooltewah has faded the last two years for the state. Looks as through you have a great chance with only four teams in your district,and the region you are in! Anyway get on here and hype Burke all you can and you have.He is a good player and Vandy is lucky as you say to have him, but remember you still haven't been to state. Just Chatt. champions! Trojandad2006, you have got to be kidding that West defense is faster that Knox.Central? Halls played West and their speed did not impress Halls. In fact looking at the stats from that game West was pretty much shut down in that game. (Check prepextra)Maybe you are just now seeing the BEST region in the state 3-4AAAA. Great teams and great coaching. K West may make the playoffs but it is a tough road for them. Maryville takes this game hands down. Maryville really only has one test left in the region which is Halls in two weeks.

Med man I am sick of you constantly saying Halls has no speed. Just where was Central's speed. Your DB's showed speed? Didn't really see many plays where Central just broke free. When they did they were tackled or penalized. Your leading rushers are the QB and HB? Balanced attack?It was a good game. Stats on both sides were closer than one thinks.Also the two passing touchdowns where breakdowns on defense. I think that last years Central team was much faster and talented. You know And I know that the game was closer than the score. Also just one Central TD in the second half.?Halls knocked on the door several times in the second half and self destructed each time. Good luck to Central but I believe that this season you will only practice two more weeks than the rest of us in district 3-4aaaa except Maryville.

Halls was beat in that game and have nothing to hang their heads about. Oak Ridge players played an outstanding game and deserve the win.Maybe their coach got caught up in the moment or what,that is a very tough way to lose by breaking the rules.The TSSAA ruling,what ever the outcome,both teams will be ready to play.No it is not a crappie way for a win as statement04 says,any coach worth his salt would do the same thing in that situation.Rules are the rules! Now about the Oak Ridge fans at the who showed no class screaming at the Halls coach and parents who were screaming about the Halls players being wimps.Your players showed great class and such be proud that they beat a good Halls team. HV you need to look at knoxpreps.com to see some stats on the Halls team and other teams in the area.Larson pitched a good game tonite. I just hate that the season for the seniors is winding down. The real season starts soon!!!!

According to the Houston high school website they have 2 losses.One to WB and also to Lassiter GA. 9-0 with a freshman pitching for Lassiter who must be very good.A question is how Houston got ranked so high in the nation?Where in the world did that ranking come from?I saw Collierville play and I was impressed with their play.They spanked Halls pretty good but this is only March.Halls will improve,Farragut will get better,SD is playing good right now and some other teams out of 4AAA are very good.From what I have seen this year with early losses by many high ranked teams preseason rankings are just that PRE- season. Lets see who is around in May.I think that east tennesse will be well represented by many good teams come May. GO HALLS!!!

Collierville 8 Halls 1 Halls didn't hit and made to many errors. Congrats to Collierville for the win. Colliverville looked good this early.Halls needs to play on the field and get some games under their belt.Halls will come around and hopefully will be there.

Collierville plays at Halls friday at 5.Then Collierville takes on South Doyle and Farragut on Sat at Farragut. Should be some good games.

Hey Bizazz I think you forgot the other junior pitcher Halls has.Pitched last years district championship game (2 hitter)and aslo won against Macgavock in the state last year.Just who might that be?Just check TSSAA stats from last years state tournament.Just a thought about Halls pitching.

Ah biggsexxy who know I am rooting for Halls and also for some of the boys at Central.Will see you Fri.nite.I don't think Halls fans have conceded this game I think these teams respect each other.Robpride it looks as Powell has more Central boys that Central has Halls boys.Just name the starters for Central that would have gone to Halls.Remember Central's season starts this week.Remember who Central has played.I still say this is going to be a very good game.GO HALLS!!!

Halls teams that they have played have an overall win-loss record of 27-25,Central has played teams with an overall win-loss record of 18-34.This may not mean much,I think Halls has played a tough schedule so far.Halls needs to score which has been a problem all year.Losing Blake will hurt.Halls defense has played well this season as they have been put in terrible field position this year.Central has the speed edge but Halls is not as slow as people on here think.This I hope will be a close game if Halls plays good defense and the offense doesn't make many mistakes.I think this is a game Where Halls has nothing to lose.I glad to hear that Central is healthy as they have a rough stretch of games coming.Halls on the other hand needs to win games to make the playoffs.I think this will be a good game Friday nite.This part of the season is where it is fun to watch as teams play for the playoffs.Go Halls!!!

I'm proud of the way Halls and Powell played in terrible conditions.To people I have talked to, it was a good game to watch live or on T.V..Halls had its chances to win and didn't.To people who talked about Halls being "pancaked or blown out",it didn't happen.Great game by both teams.To the fans at the game,you are true fans of high school football.GO HALLS!!! Dmoyers that is a slam to kids who work hard at football.They may not have the greatest team or a great product.But it is a thrill for these teams to be on TV.If memory serves me right Maryville has been on the local comcast network.CSS does a good job.The Powell-Halls game last year went down to the final play of the game with Halls winning.I think it will be a good game again this year.Good luck to both teams!

That is the truth that you can be great in youth leagues, and get to high school things change,but there are many so many distractions for kids when they get to high school.Nope don't need you John Paul.Halls may not be the best right now but the program has kids who want to be there.I guess the saying of " it's not how you start ,but where you finish."is so true.I'm true to Halls sports win or lose.I think that's how a fan should be to his/her team.Finish strong!!! This is a big game for Halls.I feel that the loss of Cox is big.Mynatt hurt also.When he was in the game against Farragut, Halls had a good chance to win.When he(Cox) was in the game he and the team were stopping the run.(stopped 2 drives inside the 20)Halls can not continue to give teams field position deep in their own territory.The offensive needs to try to run a wide open game either pass to set the run up or run to set the pass up. Anyway Halls has nothing to lose in this game. A win here would be great. With Maryville on the horizon well you know.It is amazing that when the kids played rec football they were great and now just struggle to find offense.GO HALLS!!!!!!!

Well enough about who's left or what ever.I think this Hall's team will be better but will be thin at certain postions.I would love for them to win 8 games.I think alot of people on here overlook some of the talent on this team.They may surprse people with size and god forbid they may even have some speed.I think that 6-4 or 7-3 would in this fans eye be a great season.I think that the games with Farragut and Sevier Co. will set the tone for the season.Good Luck Reddevils!!! Cody did lose to Farragut JV early in the season.I think it was a 5-3 game. But did Farragut JV win the JV tourney?Halls JV didn't.I don't think you did either.Do you think that a pitcher alone wins games? Last I looked ther is 8 other players on the field who need to hit and field. He may have lost to Farragut jv but he ended the season strong and was a help to Halls on there state run. Ever pitcher has bad days.It's not where you start ,but how you finish.He had a good run and will only get better.Halls will be a good team next year.GO HALLS!!!

The Memphis newspaper commerical observer ,gave Halls no respect whatso ever and there lack of coverage for Halls, it was evident to Halls fans who where there.It looked as when Memphis teams in aaa were gone Halls was no where to found in the sport pages.Farragut got great write ups and should have as theyare defending and current champs.But Halls sucess should have been better recorded in the papers in the memphis area papers and tv.The news sentinel and tv coverage from knoxville was great.Memphis area reporting for Halls was shoddy. Congrats Farragut on the win and GO HALLS!!!!

Looking at the TSSAA stat sheets, Halls young pitching stall of Larson,Lockwood and Phibbs only allowed 1 earned run in the state run this year.Larson is a junior and Lockwood and Phibbs are sophmores.The future looks good at Halls.I am so proud of this team this year after watching them all year this has been unreal.I only hope that they can continue this next year.This team just peaked at the right time.Farragut is a great team and look forward to see them next year.Thanks guys and GO HALLS!!!!

I agree with your post.I hope that SD and other 4AAA teams play Halls next season more often.I'm sure that they will.I for one would like to see it.The SD-Halls matchup was very exciting and a great game.These type of matchups (3AAA-4AAA) create great local excitment.Only hope for one tonite.

I agree Bizazz,district is won with depth of pitching.Halls in the district tournment only started sophmores(Lockwood and Phibbs) and won.Check the stats a lot of teams in the district wished to have the pitching depth.Larson was not available with injury.Lockwood has not pitched as well this season but he is still a competitor.Phibbs has come along well this season and will only get better.Turner pitching tonite will do a good job and wants (and may) to win.Buchann also improved this season and has helped in relief.Lawson also will help next season and pitched some this season.Anyone who follows District 3 knows the Halls pitching staff is a very good and deep staff with these kids.Right now Halls is clicking.Should be a good game.Whoever wins will represent the region well.GO HALLS!!!

Altbraves who is the team that you support?So what who beats who during the season.The season is now! You still play the game every day to see who wins or loses.Halls and Farragut will be a good game.Who ever loses is playing Friday.That is the season!! It's not where you start but where you finish.I'm sure lots of teams would love to be where Halls and Farragut are today and Friday.If Halls finishes Friday that's a great season and only builds for next season.I would only think that fans of area baseball would love to see 2 Knoxville teams in the state.GO HALLS!!!
